Thanks for replies. I was told by an BT engineer that we would get FTTC after Llandaff exchange got FTTC - but that was last October.(He follows these things apparently)

Tried the link but as I`m with Sky it wont recognise the telephone number. The postcode search didn`t really mention FTTC at all.

As already explained, what is relevant is when your cab gets FTTC, not when the exchange gets it. My exchange commenced FTTC 18m ago, but my cab has no prospect of it for another 12m.
Try the Sky site for FTTC upgrades-it'll be the same date as BT, since it's the same service.

The number checker is a bit useless if you don't have a BT number though.

I don't have a bt number and it would never give me and answer when i used it on the checker, when the cabinet is ready the checker will use your number to show you it's ready for orders.
Mine was supposed to be Dec 13 but became "ready" a week or so ago.

The best source of info for when exchange has been switched on I've found is Openreaches Twitter page.

As already pointed out, FTTC going live on your exchange does not mean that it is going live on your cab any time soon.
