How long to set up Fidelity ISA?

I initiated the process of setting up an ISA with Fidelity on monday - however, they haven't yet taken the money from my bank account (I did a debit-card deposit) and the status of the instruction is still "pending". How long does it normally take to set up these things?

I previously had an S&S ISA with L&G and they always managed to deal with new deposits within a day.

I think it took 2 or 3 day when I did a debit deposit. Quidco are being far slower.
They'll also ask for you to send in ID stuff once you've got your initial deposit invested with a freeze on withdrawals and new investments till that's done.

Strangely, when I set up with Cavendish which uses the Fidelity platform, the money I invested appeared on X Ray a good 3 days before it appeared on my internet banking.

If its your first investment with them then they need to do the usual id checks, etc, and then need to wait until the next "dealing point" as they call it before taking the funds.

But I'd expect all that to have happened by now if you opened the account on Monday.

    Maybe give them a call?

If no money has been taken by tomorrow I'll call them.
