I expected this computer work much faster.
To turn on it I spend about 5-6 min.
To download the first page in Internet, it takes an other 4-5 min. Very often it doesn't open page from the firs time.
Unfortunately I did expect much more from Lenovo Ideapad S206.

1.0 out of 5 stars Awful...

My partner purchased this laptop a few months ago. Since we've had it it's been slow and struggles to run even simple tasks like youtube videos while having microsoft word open along side that. You can have one tab open in chrome. The processor seems unable to cope with running windows 8 and crashes, it takes around 3 reboots to actually get the thing to start! And just last night a screw fell out of the bottom of it. Do not buy, it's just not worth the stress or constant crashing! My 5 year old macbook runs better than this thing!0 -
That's why it is £199.
And windows 8 would put me off anyway.0 -

Reported for what?
So he/she doesn't write a book when they post, but they do post some useful stuff, if anyone bothered to look at his/her other posts. He/she posts quite a bit, and is quite thanked in a lot of his/her posts.
They post useful places for tech goods, and also likes of freebies, comps, and does the leg work for quite a lot of people who cba'd to even look, or even know where to look.
You can easily see their threads as they keep the same name/format/subject line, so just ignore them if you don't want to look.0 -

They post endless duff deals, don't ever bother explaining why they think its so good... just fills the forums with misleading spam. I am glad he has a mate thoughEuropean for 3 weeks in August, the rest of the year only British and proud.0 -
Saves me from having to write the same thing.0

Netbooks are not laptops!
I'm really getting sick of people buying them and expecting them to be a perfectly usable laptop that can do everything a proper laptop can, mainly because the biggest offender is my bosses boss who then has a moan at me when it's slow to compile a gigantic visual studio project and takes ages to encode videos.0 -

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -
Yeah but the basic issue is likes of PC world, currys, dixons, argos even selling the damn things as cheap laptops that you can do anything you did on a laptop before!
Unfortunately people are lead in the belief that everyone is selling them the truth in these types of shops, then it's the poor mugs like us who have to "fix" it all, or break the news they just spent their cash on a chocolate fire guard in regards to doing proper work on them. If tablets hadn't taken off, netbooks would've remained in the not a laptop, but a general surfing machine, and small other products. But since tablets did explode, loads of netbooks need sold, and loads of people are mugs having them sold to them. Money sells, they're cheap, because they're not the same as a netbook.
N.B personal opinion naturally, also am aware there are some reasonable netbooks out there, but generally they're not off the high street shelf ones!
Also I do still have a netbook and it was awesome for watching tv, film, doing a bit of photo editing, and surfing. BUT it's still not a laptop and doesn't do what I can do on my laptop.0
