Mc D's Monopoly Age restriction for instant prizes

Its pretty normal to be over 16 to enter such promotions:

But surely, it's akin to selling a child a lottery ticket but not allowing them to claim the prize?
If a child cannot redeem a prize, then don't give them their food in the promotional stickered packaging.0 -
Online bookies have similar bizarre problems. They'll let you sign up, deposit and place your bet without bothering to check your age but if you win and try to withdraw then they'll demand that you send in a copy of ID to prove your age. Then if they find your under 18 they'll tell you where to go. Obviously it would make sense to check your age first but this way they get to keep your winnings if you're under age.0

Especially when someone else has posted that further up the thread, so you can read it and pretend that you're wonderfully knowledgeable.
I have a good working knowledge of the rules regarding gambling, but feel free to keep making a tool of yourself regardless..0
