Paypal echeque

I sold an item to a buyer and they paid by echeque on 08/05/07. Paypal advised me it would clear by 17/05/07. Today it has been cancelled and I had a message off the buyer saying its been cancelled but she does not know why, its never happened before. Same has happened to me a few times. The money comes out of my account on one day then takes 9 or 10 days for it to "clear"! Where is this money, surely it's not in limbo for that long (it would be quicker to post and have a cheque cleared).

I think Paypal are deliberately taking their time on money transfers so that it boosts their account balance for a short while and they gain the interest.

Someone should really have a look into this.
