Pete is correct.
You can get an advance of one months net pay if assigned to or from an overseas assignment in excess of 60 days.
Equally there is a list of areas in which you can request upto four months pay in one go, due to the change in cost of living i.e to help buy a car.

Being at home, i am unable to view he JSP754 in the newest edition.
The most recent i can find online is the JSP 754 Edition 17 >HERE<
Basically, its JSP 754 Chapter 2, Section 5 - Advances of Pay & Methods of Repayment.
02.0505 Para c(4) - 12 Months of more overseas, you can apply for 4 months pay as a loan blaa blaa blaa...

I thought he was implying you can get up to four months pay in this country to buy a car...0
