Anyone know how to get money out of an old Santander ISA?

I have a 12/13 ISA with Santander. I want to transfer the money to a current account, but it is not letting me do so on the Santander website. I get an error saying 'Sorry, but you do not have a valid product for this request'.

Anyone been in this situation before and have any ideas? Will I need to go into a branch? I would rather do this than phone if I have to. Is this a tactic to try and hold on to my money or what?

And before you start saying, 'ahhh don't take money yourself out of an ISA', it's cool, I know what i'm doing :):):rotfl:. It's being added to a 13/14 ISA with a good rate, which doesn't allow transfers. But i'll need the money at some point in the near future, so no point in stacking my ISA allowances year on year. Plus got a FD regular saver.

Many thanks.

Is your 2012-13 ISA an instant access one?

Don't see why you shouldn't be able to call them if you need to speak to someone - - - the central ISA team probably are more clued up on tricky ISA questions than Branch people, anyway.

Sorted now. It was an instant access, yeah.

Searched through google and some others have said you can't transfer a Santander ISA to an external account online, or even by phone. You can only transfer between Santander accounts. Someone actually opened up a new e-saver account, transfer the ISA money to there, and then transferred it externally. So I tried this, and it worked. Got a new Santander account sitting there, but saves the hassle.

Who knows, sometimes MSE comes up trumps before Google...

Well, that is one statement that holds true.
