2 years isa good?

Just realised last years Santander 2 year isa means this year I must start a new one, and if that's also 2 year, I'll be leapfrogging each year.
Can't quite see pros and cons of that.
Or since Santander 123 current a/c offers 3% interest why bother with new isa and keep cash access.
Not paying tax with new higher threshhold

The only benefit to having it in an ISA is that it remains tax free, obviously a standard savings account wouldn't if you start paying tax.

Regarding the 2 year ISAs, if you continue doing 2 year ones then you what you say is right. The only downside to this is that none of your money is accessible without penalty (presuming the fixed rates have withdrawal penalties) .
