Morning :hello:
Julie67 just quote as normal, then highlight and delete the bits you don't want left in.
Was impressed with myself yesterday – the tax return dropped through the letterbox, within 10 minutes I'd filled it in, photocopied it, stamped the envelope and shredded the envelope it arrived in

The drier is all clean and shiny, I fixed the door too because it'd dropped a bit. Took it apart, found a bent bit of metal so I put it on the floor and bashed it flat with a hammer
No more squeaks and clunks, it's like new. I sorted the shed out and found lots of odd socks where master tru had dropped them amongst the paint tins and tools as he used the drier. Now he has lots of actual pairs again, he might stop stealing mr tru's

Morning TTFM and all,
Not such a nice day today. I was going to get out in the garden today but ive changed my mind now its cold and wet.
I will be watching the funeral on my phone whilst i surf the net. Not that i am a fan of hers but i'm a fan of watching watching what we British do best... Pomp and Ceremony. However, i do think the money could have been better spent but i'm not going into that.
Son is at college and i'm so glad to have the house to myself.
Jobs for today

Tea will be quiche and chips. I was going to serve it with coleslaw but its a bit cold for that.

A rather dull morning here.
We are going to the garden centre shortly. We have a 20%off voucher to use, so we want to get some lawn seed and some other bits. I'm a member of the Dobbies Club, so we'll also use the April free coffee vouchers.
Then back home, I'm sure Margaret Thatcher's funeral will be on in the background, but I want to get more photos down from the loft for sorting, and more eBay listing done. Sometimes it seems never ending. But I'm sure it'll be great when it's all done.
We'll be having chicken in mushroom sauce for dinner. I seem to have a lot of chicken in the freezer, so it'll feature quite a lot on the menu in the next couple of weeks while I clear my freezer for defrosting.
PS. I'm watching BBC News, there doesn't seem to be many people out on the streets for the funeral.Early retired - 18th December 2014

Morning all. Good thoughts to all that want or need them.
Mixed thoughts on Thatcher but all those celebrating are doing so in a horrible way. Surely their energies would be better spent ploughed into politics or community work making Britain better?
What is the weather doing? I wanted to tidy the back garden but it's raining. I have never really done any gardening, I mow the lawn and weed, that's it. I wanted to start on our garden this year.
I'll stay in and crochet today. I've already been to the post office and tidied up, only a bit of washing to do. The house is staying so much cleaner now the children are back at school!
julie67 I haven't linked myhermes to eBay account. I didnt know you could! I just add the tracking numbers manually.0 -
Morning All,
Well Judi hope you managed to get to bed at a reasonable hour and your wide awakeness didn't keep you up too late.
Well after two beautiful days here it has lashed rain all night. What a blessing in disguise this has been. I went to the bathroom early this morning to hear drip, drip, drip into the bath. Looked up to see it was coming from the apartment above, so his repair job was not as successful as we thought. Our new ceilings were due to go up today so the damp problem would have been covered up.
Neighbour above has seen it and builder will investigate this morning. Hopefully it is nothing major.
So the saying it never rains, but it pours is quite relevant! :rotfl: At least future disaster has been avoided.
Have a good day everyone. :wave:0 -
Morning chums bit grey and grotty looking outside at the moment.DD has managed to secure and emergency appointment so I will ba taking her this afternoon as she hates dentists.
Just going to knock up some biscuits for the tin as the boys have scoffed them all I may do some brownies as well while I'm at it.Braised beef from the freezer for me for dinner tonight with veg and rice pud for afters. No shopping to buy as I have more than enough .I also have to pop into the glaziers firm as they will cut me a piece for my photo frame that DD bought me in NYC as it fell off and cracked the other day.Its such a nice frame and I know the local glaziers are very helpful so it won't cost a lot
have a good day everyone what ever you are doing

Morning all.
Computer has a mind of it's own this a.m. Keeps flipping itself about on to other pages then freezing.
Have said before that I'm not impressed with politics or politicians but I remember very well the state of the country when MT took over and how stable it was a few years later. How much of that was due to her and how much to events in general I don't know but the disgusting furore over her death makes me ashamed to be British - and I didn't ever think I would have to say that.
I also love the way Britain does ceremony, so like others, the TV is on in the background.
Love hearing the bells ringing half-muffled, in the days when I was a bellringer it always made the back of my neck tingle.
I should really have started sorting out my garden, but as it seems to rain every night the garden is under water every morning. It's not a lot of fun being on clay.
Loads of ironing to do today and I am sitting in a avalanche of papers waiting to be sorted and filed, I see weeks of jollity ahead!

So much for getting the tree cut down. The men haven't turned up.
We've tried calling them but they have switched the phone off.
I hate hate hate being messed about, I think it's the hight of rudeness to assume we have nothing else to do but sit and wait for them. I cancelled having DGD's 2 & 3 because we would be busy, that meant DD2 has cancelled her drumming lesson. All for nothing
Now I'll have to freeze the food I baked for them as we are off to Abingdon tomorrow for 3 days. This was booked ages ago as DH has a driving a Ferrari experience at Silverstone on Friday. A Christmas pressie.
Right, off to pack our case.

Well after the first half an hour i switched on my TV to watch the funeral. Shame on the protesters who chucked stuff at the horses to unsettle them. They ought to be ashamed!
I managed to fit in the household jobs in between processions and then once inside, between hymns.:D The kitchen is a bombsite though as i just chucked stuff in. Ive added one extra job to my list, ive cleaned the insides of the wardrobes. The floor and shelves were awfully dusty. This i did during 'I vow to thee my country' :rotfl:
Was so lovely to see the men in uniform and even the vicars in their frocks looked lovely too.
I wonder where Carol Thatcher got her shoes from. I love them!
I am patriotic and proud of it!:TThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
