  • Still waiting for envirofone and quidco money but I have managed to save £10 of the child benefit that was paid into account today. Also applied for some travelling expenses in work, not expecting much but £30 is £30.

  • Woke up this morning to an email off quidco to say they had issued my payment of £68 so that should be in my bank account in the next few days :). Not got much more up my sleeve with regards to making money so it's just to continue saving as much as I can. Still being really good with taking lunch to work so managing to save quite a bit of money there. Will be counting the jar tomorrow night and adding it to the saving.

  • Not been on here for a while but still working hard with the money. Done a carboot sale this morning and got £45, then someone came to collect a bed that I'd sold on eBay and paid me £50 and I've just sold a broken kindle on eBay for £20. Will need to do another car boot sale in the next few weeks to sell the left overs from today so will hopefully make a bit more money.

Also had a payrise in work on 11th June so should see an additional £40-£50 in my pay from this month. Things are finally looking up a bit but really need to find more ways to make some money!

  • Why do I always decide to pay off my debt when I'm absolutely skint? Is anyone else the same? Have just gone through all my paperwork and put it in order of lowest amount to highest amount and am rearing to pay it all off - trouble is I've only got about £3 to my name:/

Have decided yet again to make a big effort clearing my debt. The first debt to clear is very small at £24.69. It started off larger but I've been chipping away at it for the last few months. I get paid on the 21st and the plan is to pay this off.

Have got very little to sell but am going to list one item on eBay. Only selling it for £20 but its a start.

It may not feel like it to you but you are doing really well. It can be hard when you haven't got a lot to throw at the debts, but all the £1s really do add up. Keep at it!

  • Am on a real downer today. Everything has gone through my mind - bankruptcy, mortgage rescue scheme, giving up work, the lot. Can't believe how stupid I've been with regards to money. I've decided it's my secured loan that is crippling me every month but don't know what to do about it. Frustrated big time.......

  • I've only just started concentrating on clearing my debt so don't have the knowledge to offer any advice.

Just wanted to come on and say you are doing well and all though it may seem like little steps you are making progress. Come Wednesday you will have paid a debt of. You can then put your energies into chipping away at another.

    Stick with it xx

  • Hi eyes wide shut, thanks for the support. I'm on a real downer today. I always seem to be a few days before pay day :). I've decided I need to try and pay a debt off per month. Out of Augusts pay I'm going to concentrate on the smallest two, the first one is just under £20 and the second one is about £50, hopefully ill be able to manage it.

I have arrangements with all my creditors to repay them £1 per month so I'm coping at the moment. The secured loan is my biggest problem. It's £320 per month and if I didn't have to pay that I know I could make the money last until the end of the month. I'm absolutely sick of having too much month for the money
