why keep plugging nationwide card as best for holiday spending?

You need to be extremely careful with Nationwide cards, not all have zero fees on purchses abroad and some are ONLY free in the Eu and have fees in the US or anywhere not in the Eu.
Why not use the Post Office creditcard as its totally free anywhere for holiday purchases? I just dont get why the Nationwide card keep topping the bill as recommended?
the link below, (just deselect the other products, then select the Goldcard) says that Nationwide gold cards are totally free anywhere (but closed to new business) yet when I call nationwide they deny this exists and say its been a 1% fee outside the Eu for years.
Just add the usual Nationwide website in front of the url below

Unlike Clarity, Post Office charge for ATM withdrawals.
MetroBank debit card is better than Post Office too.

In general, they are. But since not everyone can get to a branch, the Clarity is pushed instead.0
