  • good on ya!! can you experts clear something up for me please...i went for a refund as i got charged £25 extra for a mobile (when the offer was on spend £35 on shopping get £25 off phone) and i had got dtd the week before, but this time the manager was really horrible and said that it didnt count....blah blah blah. My partner was so annoyed with her but i sent him off outside as i thought i had it under control! in the end i got dtd but she said "you wont get it again"!!! how can she say that:confused: it doesnt say anywhere that if its a checkout operatives fault we will not give you dtd. Even if i was to abuse the policy (which i wasnt) how can they refuse when they have a promise on the wall ... my partner said he would have stood there all day till he got dtd...but do they have to??

Tesco managers are, and always have been a law unto themselves.

They seem to believe that rules put out by HO are not for them to obey.

We had this lots of times during RnR where this was stopped because "operator error" didnt count,so they said, but on lots of occasions we fought and won.....but isnt the manager a fool, who keeps allowing the same error to happen in his store.

Unfortuntely the only way to beat a stubborn manager is to ring HO and complain...but this heightens your profile and you could actually be banned from that store ot others, as i was for "winning"....Managers dont like anyone telling them what to do, so some seek the only recourse available and ban you from the store, and they dont even have to give a reason....as its private property, and its very very rare that HO will overturn a managers decision.
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

I received several (ahem) letters today which were from tesco Save in Style - they are not the same as the wardrobe ones and for a picture you can refer to fleabay where people are already selling them - anyway does anyone know if these ones are new (they are not listed on the 1st post) and whether like the wardrobe ones they scan on anything...we'd given up all hope of every getting them in truth (my wife registered 20 times) and for two months nothing arrived but lo and behold here they all are today - off to tesco I go...

Anyway if anyone can confirm if they scan on normal shopping it would be greatly appreciated...thanks

Sharkmark - Are they the pink & white ones, I asked this on PTS this morning and they apparently have the same barcode and the wardrobe clothing vouchers so should scan with out buying the clothes.

    Happy shopping!
  • Yes they are pink and white - this is quite frankly great news...thanks for confirming...! I'm off to Tesco to buy lots of Johnsons wipes (see PTS for discussion about points there)
