HI Vicky......Well. I'd have to say then that the whole Tesco workforce is wrong.....
On the last HandB I was using £30+ HBcoupons, a £6 Electrical and a £6 clothing coupon, and getting free HB, free gift card, free phone top up, and free food..........and it stopped two weeks later.....the excuse given that....it was a new store and the staff hadn't been told that they couldn't just accept a coupon because it had Tesco on it... so no training
I can take you to SA's now that will take every coupon i can throw at them, i can take you to SA's that think its OK to manually override the beeping till and add a coupon....I can take you to stores that have a 1 coupon policy, a 2 coupon policy, and lots more different variations of policy.
I have been a great believer in....Tesco policy is......We have no policy.
With respect to you...(and i mean that)...you work in one store and maybe shop in a couple of others...so you only really know what goes on in your store.....
I accept you have multitasking till skills, the girl i know only works on clothing, and the most amount of coupons she has ever been presented with in a single transaction is 2, and doesn't often get asked to process gift cards or phone top ups.....
I would say that all us "hardened clothes couponers" would never ever buy anything heavily couponed from the clothing desk.....same as we wouldn't buy a PS2 or XBox or Phone from the Electrical desk in the days of RandR......for the simple reason, that the spotty kid on till 23 hasn't been taught the rules....
In February last year, when there was an abundance of coupons out..I asked my OH to help me...she wasn't keen, but i promised her £1000 at the end of a fortnight if she helped.....
We visited around 24 different stores(some many times), buying from each £60 worth of clothes and handing in £48+ worth of coupons...at the end of two weeks, we had returned them all for full cash refunds(apart from one or two gift cards)....my OH had the £1000 i promised her and i had a further £600.(all profit)
I never told one lie, i never handed in one receipt(always got them back after showing)....it got a bit more difficult towards the end, with heavily couponed receipts, so the last few, we exchanged, got a new uncouponed receipts and took them back as before....an extra stage in the process, but well worth it....
A few of my pals in different parts of the country were doing this as well....very successfully.....
Sometime after this, more coupons came out, allowing us to hand in around £85 worth on a £70 shop...so getting free food/HB/gift cards/phone top ups as well
And it goes without saying(to us experienced couponers)..(and as I said in the first post of this thread)...all couponing is SA dependent.
Today(yesterday)(on a few occasions) I bought 12 packs of garlic capsules....handed over 12x50 points coupons........on one occasion i was told..."oh the coupon says one per transaction...I'm afraid i can only take one".....I said "OK then. please just cancel the transaction, and I'll put the 12 through on separate transactions"....she scanned my 12 coupons.......
I even got 12 added on at CS where the store has a maximum of 6 items per customer, she must have forgot!!!
I think really all I am saying is....You can really only speak for the store you work in, and as most TE's possibly shop in the store they work in, they don't have any where near the experience of some of the Couponers on here that have been active a long time.(people with much longer couponing membership than me)
We really do value your input, but as (kronen says above), until a glitch has been tried and tested...everyone just "assumes" .........not "knows"......and yes...you know the answer "in your specific store"..but we all know from experience, that not all stores are "singing from the same hymn sheet"
There was no nastiness intended in any of my posts relating to your posts....We welcome input from everyone except "trolls".....and no one gets shot down for asking...they may get referred to earlier posts however.
Any suggestions how my new Motorpoint Car can get a registration with the name GARLIC on the plate...........
PS, as the thread already knows,. last year/year before i was banned from a few local/area stores for RnR misdemeanors, and received a National Ban by letter, for Policy Exploitation...........Of course they only know if I'm in the store if i use my ClubCard(Tesco Identity Card)...which i don't when getting free HB/Clothes...but I am using a card now, as theres only points available....Couponing....."every little hurts"

Loitering with intent Lead & Kroners...
New job means less time to Tesco hunt...
Always keep a supply of Somerfield vouchers on me to self scan though - some here disapprove, but I can sleep at night.
We should have a R&R reunion thread

Disapprove Duder???.......no, I dont believe it.............lol
Caused a few fracas myself, so they tell me(EPH, PTS and here they reckon)...although my lack of sleeping was usually cos i couldnt find them, rather than the guilt(wot guilt) of spending them....Sanex and Nicotinell still work as well......amazing isnt it....
I'm careful not to use them with humans though.....
Re an RnR reunion thread...just shout free XBOX ...and the thread will be full in minutes....Couponing....."every little hurts"

Yeah - I was gutted when I got the ring of death on my XBOX last Friday...
...got to wait 2-3 weeks for Bill to fix it...
...was feeling sad and blue until I remembered that I didn't actually pay for it.
Should have bought more than 1 though
