  • Well I wish my local Tesco would get these lovely £6 notes in.. you'd think all stores could get the same coupons.... :(

I guess I shouldn't complain though, as it obviously has a more relaxed view of coupons than some of their stores.

I think you are right, but at the same time Im sure Tesco know what they are doing. I would imagine that most people do not have a conscience when spending coupons (you might be in the minority) so fill your boots before its another R&R. I've started to believe in 'coupon good practice' - avoiding Somerfield and out of date ones (apart from the odd day), where the SA will get in trouble... but these £6, well they're so special!!!!!

i have to say i wouldnt use these... im proably in the minority but i only use coupons that tesco can claim back, and i just feel it would draw too much attention using a clothing voucher on a non clothing shop. :)

Ive not used any either. I did offer some on the giveaway thread on pts.

Dont get me wrong Ive had more then my fair share from T's using coupons. I use their coupons & any MOC which they can claim back. Ive never used any from asda/somerfield, as personally i think this is they way to get T's to clamp down & they are clamping down in the stores I use.

But it is each to their own & you only use what you feel happy using.

After my disaster yesterday I am putting mine on swaps or giving them away, especially because they are now out of date I can imagine a few SAs getting a talking to for accepting them.

I said to leadhead yesterday I wonder what OH and the kiddies would get me, well it was ibiza dance anthems cd .............. I haven't heard of most of the tracks being in my mid-30's and a mum of 4 cannot recall the last time I set foot in a club.

The kiddies bought me some summer vest tops. My first thought I bet they didn't use any clothing vouchers !!

Mum bought me a guitar playing nodding gnome - answers on a postcard as to what to do with that !!! LOL

    Happy Bithday Welshy.

I find birthdays very hard, as I don't want anyone to buy me anything as I know I can go out & get anything a lot cheaper for myself.

I've had a few hard times on coupon usage in my regular store, but I am now really friendly with 2 of the guys (on first name terms) that overlook the tills, so now obide by the 1 different coupon per shop that this store now has. I've not tried a £6.00 one in there yet & unlikely to do whist I can use them in countless numbers in another store.

My opinion is still that it is not the cashiers fault if coupons scan & have not been informed fully of the varied policy of coupon acceptance.

I hope your hubbies took you somewhere nice and paid fully in coupons, ( I meant to say cash )

What song could we play today,

"it's my birthday and I'll tesco if I want to" LOL

OH left for work at 4.30am this morning and returns at 6.30pm tonight so haven't seen him today.

He was planning on taking me out for a meal but I said wait until I get a lunch-time restaurant as a mystery shop and we will do it together - why pay for a meal when I can get it free.

Free meal, that's more like it Welshy.

I'm still thinking we must be due some now clothing coupons, the general £10£7.00 £5's & seperate £6's. Really hope they come out in time before qp's expire the 17th. Being very strict with my strip blues to maximise.

Enjoy what's left of your birthday, with or without your man.

I have been reading the discussions on these vouchers, about whether to use or not. Can someone tell me what these £6 vouchers are?

    Thanks Julie
