We've got a new store manager and because we are one of the stores with the highest shrinkage (theft etc), then they are finding new ways of reducing this so: no receipt, no refund, exchange or anything. We have to tell everyone and there are lots of notices up as well.

So if you get a pair of slippers as a present , and they're the wrong size, you cant exchange them for the correct size......seems a bit of an over reaction to me. I think I would be challenging that one!!
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.
"I'll let you be in my dreams if I can be in yours, "I said that............................ Bob Dylan 1963

exactly, and i would not make a purchase from any shop like that, if anything goes wrong, i cannot refund/ exchange, then i would be stucked with a product of no use and wasted money (coupons in our case).

the store will not only experience the highest thefting, but also the highest shrinkage of customer number.
  • Off to my usual store today, had some DM book coupons etc; this store very rarely has any other coupon leaflets, but suddenly I spotted several flyers in trolleys - yes, the £6.00 notes! - thanks so much to everyone who posted re this. Oh, and I actually got some books today as well! thanks again.

You'd be surprised, we are actually the busiest in our area. Like I said before we have mainly older people come in and they are very careful with receipts etc so, no problem if they are genuine

Am I the only one feeling very very uncomfortable with the £6 notes? Don't get me wrong - I use loads of coupons every week and save enormous amounts on my shopping. However, I do only use those that I know are legit and that Mr T can claim back on. I feel that using these £6 will firstly get the SA into trouble meaning they are less likely to accept large amounts of coupons without checking and secondly have Mr T on the lookout for serial coupon users. Surely we are biting the hand that feels us AGAIN (like with R&R)?
To be honest, I'm gald that there are none of these in my store and I can't be tempted by them. :o
  • Hello Hello,

This is my first post YIPEEE!!! Ive been watching and reading for a bit now. Ive managed to find a few Quit Packs. But my question is - Should I buy the "free" packs from ebay?

Ive seen the blue clothing coupons (the one which is refered to as 6 quid cash) Someone has put 36 pounds on auction and the peach health and beauty - 5 sheets for a penny (seems good value) Is it right for money savers to spend money buying these coupons

I think you are right, but at the same time Im sure Tesco know what they are doing. I would imagine that most people do not have a conscience when spending coupons (you might be in the minority) so fill your boots before its another R&R. I've started to believe in 'coupon good practice' - avoiding Somerfield and out of date ones (apart from the odd day), where the SA will get in trouble... but these £6, well they're so special!!!!!

You could buy them on eBay (for a good price of course;) ) but it may be worth taking a look at the Paid to Shop Giveaway thread on the discount/moc board: http://www.paidtoshop.co.uk/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=45

    Maya,Hi!!
I wouldn't buy these. There seems to be plenty around. Have you tried PTS (Paid to Shop). You could maybe swap or pick up a freebie from the giveaway posts.
    Hope I helped;)
