    they have just given out:
I presume you have to reach the minimum spend on clothes; not just on your shop like the till spits for clothes?

Also where it says "kids clothes" or "mens and womens" clothes; will any clothes from any range do to meet the minimum spend? ie some of each perhaps?

    TIA

Hi.. If anyone can help please..

There's currently 20% off kids crops, t-shirts, shorts etc ..

I've 1 or 2 more clothes shops to do which is going to consist of £50 kids stuff, hopefully I pick all the stuff with 20% off on..

To spend my 2x £5.00 & £10 coupons from instore..

Do I have to spend £62.00 final price £50..
Or can I spend £50, offer kicks in taking 20% off leaving £40 to pay..

I know the old ones worked on total spend before deduction.. But I'd like to know how 'these' ones are working...

    Thanks..

Thought I'd read earlier in the thread that these pink ones DO work on any shop (of the correct spend) regardless of whether you buy clothes. Anyone like to confirm - was going to try using a couple tomorrow.

hi hun - yes - i can confirm that the coupons DO work on the total spend before deduction. My total was £51 kids clothes - the £10 coupon worked but only 1 of the £5 off £25 kids even though the sa tried really hard to put the 2nd one through. Also, be careful of the 20% off promotion as I think it is really misleading - I only got £6 off the £51 spend - after half an hour at the clothing desk - they said that not all of the stuff i had bought was included and that customers and cleaners find teh 20% off signs on teh floor and put them in front of any clothes...
  • Went to Mr T's yesterday and used £16 worth of the pink clothing coupons off my grocery shopping; never bought any clothes at all!

Went to Mr T's yesterday and used £16 worth of the pink clothing coupons off my grocery shopping; never bought any clothes at all!

    Please tell us more!

    What was your total spend?
Was it the £6 and £10 you used? Did you try the £5 aswell?

    Thank you very much
  • Hi. I spent £94 on groceries in Mr T's. Looked at the clothes but decided there was nothing for me. I handed all my coupons (including some for groceries from a magazine) to my son to look after while I packed my shopping. He handed them all over to the cashier whilst I was fishing in the purse to pay and she took them off my bill! I used the £10 and £6 clothing ones and £4 in grocery shopping ones (though not printed off the internet; they wouldn't take these last week).

I have this forum to thank for this. I had no idea these coupons existed let alone that they may work on grocery shopping. Rather than go to all individually on this forum I would be grateful if you'd all accept this as a big heartfelt THANK YOU. x
  • hi, just to confirm for people if they are using up instore coupons today/tomorrow:
-the kids clothes coupon is not working at any store. the other two are fine. customer services refund you the coupon money for kids
-it does have to be clothing items that you buy, and it wont work using mens/womens coupon for spends made up with kids clothes or vice versa
-all branded ranges (e.g. f1, umbro, high school musical etc) are included, as are accessories and stuff
-the coupon works for spend before 20% off, however i dont think it does for BOGOFs making spend under (though nobody that I have served has done this for me to confirm)
-the t&cs say one coupon per transaction so you may not be able to combine, especially at clothing tills. it is up to the sa

Having read the last few posts it seems that a few members are getting in a muddle over these coupons, so just an update below although old timers at this game will already know...

There are 2 types of clothing coupons in circulation at present...

Coupons 1.. £10, £6.00 & £4.00 which you receive through the post when you sign up to Tesco Clothing... These will scan on anything.. groceries, dvds, toys etc as long as the minimum spend is met after deductions..

Coupons 2.. £10, £7.00 & £5.00 which are picked up instore.. These will not scan on anything.. You have to reach the minimum spend before deductions on the gender of clothing that it states..

A few have had problems with the £5.00's scanning but I have done 4 x £50 kids clothes shops in 2 stores & had 2 x £5.00's accepted by the till on all 4 transactions.. I purchased trainers, teenage bras, underwear, jeans & tops in those shops...

I recall purchasing flip flops last year & I failed on my minimum spend so I'm avoiding accesories & sticking to basics to hit my spend.. I would not want to go to CS for a coupon to be reimburssed on an already heavily couponed receipt...

    Hope that makes things clearer..
