  • Thank you for all your help I haven't as yet written back to LCS because Savills the Managing Agents say I should not have been issued a ticket in the first place and they are cancelling the PCN (their version of it). I am waiting for an email confirming this but my hopes are high I did quote all the relevant information about the Equality Act from your last letter so thank you again. Will let people know when I get my email

    We would like to see what Savills say and whether they apologise!

    Shame on them for using a non-BPA member with NO real appeals procedure and not even a semblance of any regulation of the firm whatsoever, a firm who - as you know - just rely on honest people handing over their details in a fruitless trick 'appeal' which is nothing of the sort.

    Here's one where the poster is about to take the landowner to Court over the same issue, it's so common:

    Glad yours was sorted by Savills (who do have a good record that we have seen before, for cancelling these things when they get a complaint). But the rogue PPC would NEVER have helped you without being prodded with that sharpened landowner stick.

    Might be amusing to pop in with the letter and refund confirmation to Homebase and point out to the Manager that you were right (about no Blue badge needed as it's not a requirement on private land, you are protected by law anyway).

    He should know this for next time. And do make sure he knows it wasn't just refunded as a goodwill gesture - but to avoid a disability law breach court case! - and that the firm in the car park are rogue unregulated firm. Argos should be told that as well, because if they are telling staff and customers to 'appeal' they are telling them to give their details to a rogue firm who can't even get DVLA data so can't follow the fake tickets up at all.

    Spread the word, now you know what you know about this firm of unregulated protection racketeers in the car park!
