I used to have this problem and started to weigh it, 100g dried per person.

Mix it with some tinned tomatoes, put it in a dish and sprinkle with cheese - brown under the grill. Different things can be mixed in and bacon put on top. It's very flexible.

Big fave I got from this site - mix it with a can of toms and a can of value baked beans. I do the sprinkle with cheese and grill. It is surprisingly delish and now a fave cheapy chez moany.

You can fry it in a pan and put beaten egg over it, let it set. I've done this with spaghetti, add sliced toms - cheese - very nice.

Thanks all, yes I think I am definately going to have to start weighing pasta rather than just tipping it in the pan  .
Thank you for these recipes though, I'll see what else I have in the fridge and try and throw a salad together for tomorrow. The idea of a vegetable bake sounds yummy too :T .

I often cook too much pasta. It's great mixed with some veg and olive oil or mayonaise for pasta salads for lunch or it can be reheated easily by dunking it in some boiling water.

There's an earlier thread with more ideas so I'll add your post to it to keep the suggestions together.

Oh tends to shallow fry left over pasta then throw mushrooms, cream, stock and some sliced onions in, so it sort of looks like stroganoff, but not quite. I'm not sure why he shallow fries it first though. I think it crisps up a bit if you do that.

I really hate pasta though, so I can't comment on it personally.

I mix my left over pasta with tuna and a bit of sour creme and cesar dressing and then warm it up in the microwave. Then I grate some parmesan cheese on top. It tastes great!

I always pop it in a tub and keep it in the fridge and then mix with some cheese and pasta sauce for a cold pasta pot the next day..

So far all I can think of is to knock together some minestrone soup - would that freeze ok with the pasta in it?
