  • How about chopping it into small pieces and adding to a tin of ratatoulle or home made (just peppers, aubergine and courgettes in tinned toms) and reheating in saucepan or oven. You could mix it with a tin of tomatoes with flaked tuna for a pasta bake a bit of grated cheese on top would make it nicer. Reheat in cheese sauce to make leftover special cheese instead of macoroni cheese. Mix with plain white sauce, add mushrooms and courgettes that would make another bake.

I either keep it in the fridge and use it another day or freeze it. Always used to at the restaurant I used to work at.
One day I might be more organised...........

Thanks, this sounds really nice. I shall give it a go.

I re-heat my left over pasta in the micro wave for 40 seconds or so and I can't really taste the difference.

  • I always cook far too much pasta but I portion up leftovers for DS packed lunches, either as a cold pasta salad or reheated with sauce or bolognaise in a food flask. Really easy and he loves it.;)

I sometimes freeze it into food flask sized portions too.
I like cooking with wine......sometimes I even put it in the food!

    Hi All,

I'm rubbish when it comes to cooking pasta quantities and yet again I've cooked too much  . Has anyone got any nice recipes for left over pasta?

    Thank you in anticipation...

I do this all the time, hope somebody can help. Of course you could just mix it up with mayo and chicken and put it in the fridge for a scrumtious lunch for another day. Or a tomatoe and mixed bean creation. You see these things on sale from salad bars and the like so it,s do-able

Hi tired_mummy, I am sure some more experienced os's will b along. But i would have thought u could put in bake tray/ casserole dish with cooked veggies, normal or other pasta sauce, then sprinkle cheese on to make a cheese bake thingy. Bung in the oven until cheese has melted.

Pasta salad-chopped up finely blocks of ham, cheese, diced spring onions, mayonaise, salt, pepper and combine the lot.

You can add some finely diced green pepper, if you fancy it.

;) Felines are my favourite ;)

120g per person per meal if eaten with a sauce.

Any more is far too much.

On the subject of recipes - anything mixed with it and mayo should do it...onions/peppers/pesto/tomato etc...

Hi, there  There's an older older thread here - left over pasta. I'll add your question to that later.
