I will shortly be applying for a DRO, in the meantime i am in the precess of sorting out a new basic bank account to pay may wages into, however i have a bank of scotland account that is still active but that i havent used for years, just checked and my oin still works on the card i have.
my question is, will my wages and account be safe when i start a DRO, as part of the DRO will be a Lloyds loan, Lloyds credit card and a Lloyds overdraft?
I know Hbos are now part of Lloyds, so will my account and money be safe in that account, or should i go for a HSBC or barclays account?
Thanks for any help.

Hi,
Yes they may well close your account. They would not be able to claim any of your money in the account after the DRO date.
You should open another account with a banking group that you do not owe money to.

I spoke to a client in a similar position who asked the bank (think they had Lloyds debt and Halifax account) and they advised them that the link does not allow HBOS and Lloyds accounts to do that to each other.
Before you do anything rash I would speak to your bank. If they cant be 100% "you wont have an issue" then move banks0
