  • i'd advise against removing the ECU, can be fragile and fatal if upset!

Take out the battery, remove the steering wheel, put a decent padlock on the door and learn to relax. No one is going to go to that much trouble to steal your car.
Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

You never know, as the CRX is obviously getting quite rare now and I'm sure will still have a good following. They're still very cool IMHO.

I'd be more worrying about it going missing in the later stages of the restoration!

use a steering wheel lock like this,
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MOTO-LOCK-steering-wheel-lock-/230963833671?pt=UK_Car_Accessories_Safety_Security&hash=item35c6846b47
this covers the complete steering wheel, if you take the steering wheel off they can replace it with another steering wheel, dont use the cheaper bar ones as they use them as a lever to break the steering lock,
also think about a wheel clamp, park the car as close as you can to the wall of the garage and they wont have any room to try to remove it,
