Received 2 letters today - 1 reminder of the 'Parking Charge Notice' and the other to say they have cancelled it!
    Dear Sir / Madam

Thank you for your correspondence in relation to the Parking Charge incurred on ********* at ***********.

Ater investigating your appeal it appears that the incorrect vehicle registration was input and this has therefore resulted in the issue of the Parking Charge.

On this occasion as a gesture of goodwill we will be cancelling this Parking Charge. To prevent this situation arising in the future, please ensure the correct vehicle registration details are input

I feel so indebted to them for their goodwill and leniency!

I would also once again like to thank both Stroma and Coupon-mad - you do a sterling job!!

I thought so lol, but their gesture of goodwill is carp, they know that if they refused your appeal they would open themselves up to equalities act claim

I bought my new car just before the end of March and I still could not tell you the Registration No. for certain. I will remember it eventually.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

Parking Eye will see this and cancel it anyway when they get the appeal and match it up.

Absolutely FARCICAL that they are on that site with their flawed systems.

    As predicted. :D

Parking Eye's top bananas need to get themselves off that site and concentrate on more important stuff, like football:

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2008/mar/26/communities

    - Deputy Chairman of Preston North End, a decent club with a decent history. NICE!

    - Regeneration Specialist and previous Advisor to John Prescott (now THAT was a good thing from the point of view of any BHA fan like me!). Has a CBE as well. IMPRESSIVE!

    - Was on the Board of the Olympic Delivery Authority. COOL!

But oh dear oh dear, David Taylor CBE also has a 30% stake it seems, in...Parking Eye! :

    http://www.myfootballforum.com/t27553/are-these-two-set-to-be-the-most-hated-men-in-britain/

Classic example of friends in high places it seems - similarities to horsy Simon Renshaw-Smith of Excel and the boss of NCP who entertained the Queen on his yacht.

You can see why the BPA has clout when, on paper, it should have NONE...

  • Parking Eye and their "Good Will". I had a parking notice sent to my car lease company saying I was parked in a motorway services for 7 hours. Car lease company paid the charge and then hit me with £60 + £30 admin.

Rang the car lease company and explained that the system Parking eye uses is flawed as I entered the services twice that day and left 20 minutes after I entered on both occasions.

After a small battle with my car lease company they appealled and got no response. Today I pushed for an answer and Parking Eye came back with the "Good Will" rubbish.

How can they continue to operate when they can not get anything right. This is the second time the same thing happened.

I do hope that some day the people running this company experience some of the missery they inflict on others.

Oh dear. Start your own thread, we can help you get your money back from your STUUUUPID car lease company.

Your battle with the lease co should have been much bigger, and not on the phone. Complaints in writing demanding a full refund. This is their fault.

Or do you mean PE actually refunded it? If so then what about the Admin fee your lease co. owe you? Don't let the Lease co ever do this again, they have no authority to pay this whatsoever, not even in their t&cs.
