Orange/EE Stealth DD Charge on PAYG Mobile Data with Zero Usage...

Hello,

I've recently hit an issue with a PAYG contract I had with Orange approximately two years ago.

I don't know if I'm an isolated incident, or there are others out there, but with the transition to EE, there is a new Non-Direct Debit charge on Pay As You Go Accounts of £3.58.

In my case there was a DD on the account, and so was incorrectly charged, but this charge had gone unnoticed for months.

Orange/EE have corrected it, but it took requesting the closure of my accounts, and after three months, still haven't been refunded the extra charging on my account that was agreed with their contact centre.

More details can be found on my blog posting :-

It's worth checking if like me you didn't pick up on these additional charges/change to terms and conditions.

Cheers
