Virgin Atlantic Price Change

Hey guys I suppose this is a last resort as I'm at my wits end trying to figure out how to solve this. I booked a flight last month for Orlando and found the flight significantly cheaper last night on Virgin's own website, the price match is only valid 12 hours after buying a ticket (what is the point?) and apparently I can't get a full refund unless I'm in hospital or asked for it 24 hours after I booked.

Has anyone had a similar problem and did anyone manage to get them to refund the difference in cost or the full ticket in order to rebook? or am I legitimately stuffed? If it's my fault just say so and I'll stop hounding their customer service.

Thanks
Jon

Virgin currently have a sale on hence the cheaper flights.
Normal response is....if it had increased in price would you be chasing them to pay you the difference? Book at a price you are happy with and stop looking
Sorry don't think there is anything you can do
  • Yeah I think I've just sickened myself really haha, if anyone has any instance where this has been resolved positively I'd just like to know how, if not that is okay, thanks for the quick response.

That can happen. Equally the seats can increase in price. I really don't think you will get anywhere with this so I wouldn't let it wind you up any more. Just look forward to your holiday in Orlando knowing you got the flight dates and fare you were happy with.

Don't forget to reserve seats online under 'manage your booking' at -90 days before your flight. Unlike BA it's free for everyone to make the seat request.

You won't get anywhere with this as there is no valid complaint.
Drop it and just enjoy the holiday :)

Stop hounding their customer service! No error has been made ha! Would you be hounding them to pay the difference if you had noticed a price increase... I think not ha!
