He hasnt signed a finance agreement yet, so this is not necessary.
OOPS! thanks for that, missed that Paul DOH! but not sure if that makes it better?
I can't see dealer ordering a car without a agreement/order form being signed stating it is a Vehicle Order Agreement where you agree to pay the dealer any balance due, be it by finance, cash, Part exch etc. I would imagine that's a binding legal agreement, or is it? I know I can refuse a 2nd hand car if I have not seen it and get my deposit back even if I have signed a agreement (I have done this) just not convinced you can do it with a new car?
Maybe OP can clear up wether he signed a new Vehicle order agreement0 -
i am writing to them as advised by CAB they themselves said it is a grey area and i have to state that the car was ordered in agreement of the finance deal on pcp with audi finance fingers crossed eh?
cannot begin to tell you how upset i am that i wont be driving my new Q3 nor any other car for that matter for the foreseeable future0 -
Aren't there Ts & Cs printed on the back of your copy of the order that you signed, which would say what happens in the event of a cancelled order/termination?0

It makes it better in that you're not trying to back out of an 'active' finance agreement and the car is unregistered.
Its going to be down to how far the dealership want to push this - i personally doubt they will push it very far.
As my mother in law says - you cant take feathers off a frog - if the OP hasnt got the money to buy it who can the audi dealer force the sale through?0 -

I would consider ringing Audi finance and explaining the situation and in particular that you cant now afford the car. Should the dealer try to force it through, audi finance are then likely to decline it.0 -
Audi sales trying to boost their end of year figures, they're at it.
Tell them very slowly I CANNOT PAY.0 -
The order you signed will contain t&c's that will outline cancelation.
I would suggest you send a letter to them canceling the order (recorded delivery) before the car even arrives with them. Should stop them trying to register it in your name.
The sales / finance guy is bound to tell you you must complete - these guys are paid on commission so he stands to lose out on the sale plus the finance i.e. he has a motive to lie!0 -
