Reply from Jet2.com re, compensation claim.

Options
Hi there,

I am new to forum world this being my first ever am hoping someone can help/advise.

I have began a compensation claim to Jet2.com as we were delayed 8 hrs back in 2009.

The reply is basically telling me that my claim is valid as is over 3 hrs but as 2 years have gone by they cannot put my claim through , their words "All claims of this nature must be made no later than 2 years of the incident occurring according to english law".

Is this true or is this just a put off?

Anyone? I would be really greatful,

Yours RhysAds

You can either ask them for the law they are referring to with details of the specific clauses, or you can tell them you know its 6 years and they should sort your claim, otherwise you will see them at small claims court.
  • I too have put in a claim with supported documentation for a delayed flight in July 2010,but have today received a letter saying that they are unable to consider my claim - under English law - because it occurred more than two years ago. Is this true?? Or is it their way of fobbing off claims? I assumed that we also come under EEC law ......??
