just wondering do sainsburys take coupons like tesco does
    cheers margy

Sorry for late reply, sorry no they don't have the same policy and usually check you have bought the items. I always try to use a few coupons there and sometimes get away with buying a similar product or maybe get one from their magazine scanned without buying the item, but that's all.

Only Tesco, Asda and Waitrose accept coupons without you having to buy the product stated. The amount depends on your local branch.

Booo, no mags at the store I visited today. Could have done with some as I bought Invisible Crust bread today as DS3 likes it.

I thought to myself that bread was expensive this week at £1.15, when about 10 days ago it cost me 80p. Naughty Tesco, that's why they've put the price up, to offset of their magazine coupon, not really a saving then.

But can't argue with a nss coupon, last time they had one of them was that sausages 25p off coupon last year. That was a good one as it was (fairly) loosely attached inside the front cover....not for long when I swept my mitts through the pile and came up with 6 mags and about 12 coupons...:o

Sounds like this nss coupon is printed directly on a page though, so we will all have to grab several copies of the whole magazine every time we shop for the next month, then recycle them all!

I have been on another thread where shops and vouchers were discussed and this is what somebody said

I work at Tesco and we have all just had to re-read the Tesco coupon policy because everyone had been told differently about what our policy is. The policy clearly states that we accept up to 100% of the total shop in coupons as long as a) only one type of each coupun if the product has not been bought b) Tescos must stock the product c) It is not a coupon specifically for a competing store unless its a money off total shop. Im thinking about trying to scan the document would this be of help to people? cause im sure its a policy for all Tescos not just my store.
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

That's right Coupon-mad, we'll have to grab the whole mags every time we shop. I couldn't find any loose sausage MOC last year, hopefully I'll do better this time with the MOC printed directly on the page. Haven't tried using it yet, fingers crossed this MOC will scan without buying the product. Barcode starts with 99 and ends 0303, NCH code, non Tesco specific, so normally it should scan.

Found another 50p coupon in the mag this morning (Tesco specific), so have updated post no2 again. I've also added info re coupons in the latest issue of Boots mag, kindly PM'd to me by lovely rockyrose - thanks hun! :T
