Hi All,
Havent been on since last week, busy life for once!:rotfl:
Uncles' funeral went really well. Himanist service. Lovely to see my Auntie Pat after all these years. Cousins too who I haven't seen since childhood!
Woke up on Friday though with a terrible cough and cold. Came on overnight. Been trying to get over it all weekend.:( Don't think it's gone to my chest though, I am finding it hard to breathe, so taking things slowly.:(
OH fixed the greenhouse at the weekend so I could plant up my beds in there.:T
OOH it was so lovely to sit on my deck in the sun yesterday:T
Sunny today too, so I may venture out again.
Washing on the line too. The weather forcast is for showers this afternoon, so better keep an eye out. Leftover pasta for dinner. Think I'll have a carbonara.
((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))) for Beth
Have a good day!I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Hi all.
Quick sit-down with my feet raised, as my ankles have swollen to match my wrists today. *rolls eyes*
Beth (((HUG))) mate.
Hilstep glad your Uncle got a good send-off.
Our friend Dave had a Humanist funeral, and they did him really proud - his cowboy hat on his coffin, and the C&W music cassette that had been in his car stereo at the time of his death was played. OMG I've just realised, that's nearly nine years ago! Where does the time go to?
What's with the twonker who keeps copying other peoples' posts, and posting them at the end of old daily threads? *scratches head* I don't understand some people.:( I see Molly has reported them to the Powers That Be (well done Molly:T) so maybe they'll desist now. It had me confused, I nearly posted on 5th April's thread.
I am cream crackered today - I've made bread (in the BM), and a mincemeat tart (Mr LW was asked if he wanted that or cherry crumble, and he chose the tart), lime cake (lemon drizzle cake recipe but used limes instead of lemons) and lasagne for today's and tomorrow's dins (today's portion has been eaten - yum!)
My arms are also complaining bitterly because I did the ironing yesterday - Mr LW usually does it, but he was slaving over a hot works laptop all weekend. Our iron is unconscionably heavy, and so very difficult for me to use; Mr LW had it before I moved here, and it still works fine, so I can't justify buying a lighter one for the rare occasions when I iron.
Mr LW has just renewed the car insurance. Fortunately I'd earmarked more than we actually needed to pay it, so there's some money to rake back from "earmarked" onto our "cash available" spreadsheet.;)
OK, I must crack on - my credit card bill has arrived, so I need to pay that (I always pay in full;)) and I have some other spreadsheet updating to do.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Hi all,
finished work at 12:30, it is now my weekend after 8 days of working! Lovely and warm here, I have my flip flops on around the house and as soon as opened the back door the cat zoomed out and haven't seen him for dust since! He will be back in a few hours when he is bored and hungry0 -
Finished all my jobs for today, windows are wide open to give the place a bit of an airing. Just have the tea to do.
The council have sent one of their huge lawnmower tractor type thingies to mow the big field at the back of my house. How is it they never mow the edges? Theres a good 6ft at the edges where the mower doesnt touch. Its pretty flat, theres nothing stopping them getting right to the edge. I wonder what the chap would say if i offered him a fiver to mow our grass too?:D
Phoned my GP practice. My blood test came back fine. No need to fiddle around with dosages of thyroxine and my kidneys are working as they should.
Oh well, i'd best get on.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Afternoon all
Well I thought today would be hell on wheels and actually it was 7 types of hell on go faster wheels, nothing was working, no puters & no printers, it's a joke, I had about a 15 minute lunch break & sat feeling sick throughout, I was so glad when it was time to come home.
DD1 is coming over to discuss DD2 surprise birthday party, it looks like I'm doing the food & DD1 is doing the drink, don't expect the ex will do much.
My cakes & biscuits were very gratefully received & someone at work very kindly gave me 2 knitted toy kits, she was given them & doesn't knit, so that will keep me busy.
Have a good evening everyone.
Hugs Hester

Evening all,
Went for my hospital visit with my knee and it looks like I need an op. they are almost sure it's my cartilage that's torn so he said not much of a waiting list I should be in over the next couple of weeks. :j thank goodness, I think the recovery period is a few weeks and then hopefully I should be able to get out walking again:j
My blood tests came back normal apart from the fact that I am on the menopause, so that's obviously what the hot flushes were and not infection as they suspected. So at least now I know. I'm only 46 quite early I suppose. I don't mind really, will be happy when the monthly awfulness is gone for good, sorry tmi.
Doing nothing tonight other than crocheting my blanket and watching Paul Hollywood:DStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Evening chums had a busy day today popped in the dentist to arrange DD's check-up (she hates them with avengance) and although she's 43 I still have to cart her off to the dentists:):)
then to Book Club which was interesting then round to DDs to let the Mutts out for half an hour while I hung her washing out and washed up and prepped her veg for dinner tonight. Then I went to get my shopping at Sittingbourne and managed to get all I need for the rest of the month in one go and it only came to just over £33 (which was even better) topped up my tank with diesel another £50.00 which will see me through for a month (Morrisons are the cheapest I've seen for diesel at £1.37 odd per litre),plus I collect the points there So although I spent a few bob I have got everything I need for at least 2-3 weeks with only maybe fresh milk to top-up with
Back home for a quick sarnie then picked the boys up from school and they helped to make my HM Victoria Sponge vanish in record time when they got home:)
Just got home now and going to put my feet up and have a bit of a relax as I have been flying around since 8.00 this morning (Oh and I also managed to put all my sofa throws in the washing machine and they are dry and back of the sofa again
Good fun being retired:)
have a good evening folks

Evening all....am spitting feathers at the thought of the barstewards who murdered people at the Boston marathon....why can't people live in peace, it would be so much more pleasant for us all.
Rant over....hugs to all in need or want of one or more.
Had a rather busy day, yoga this morning and then lunch with a cousin....was meant to have dinner with her last night but completely forgot about it until she rang me after I had eaten...don't think I have ever done that before but she was fine about it.
Have to get lights adjusted on car and take back for a retest....another €28....on Friday....think that I will get it done on my way to test centre in case they have gone wonky again before I get there, most of our side roads leave much to be desired surface wise.
Am going to doctor in the morning with this b***dy cough, am exhausted from it and having far too many Tena lady moments....don't feel happy about going anywhere.
Take care all, sleep well and stay safe
