dove have just launched a new mens range, and as part of a testing panel I have been sent 5 small size dove mens moisturisers...pump action bottles in 15 ml sizes so a really good sample size...
It might be worthwhile emailing them to see if they would be able to help you out for some small mens samples if you are struggling for the guys!
Thank you for the tip , really appreciate thatThe opposite of what you know...is also true0 -
I did get the parcel from L'occitane, which was four little sachets of firming lotion etc.
Nipped in to the 'perfume factory' in town today and asked for mens aftershave samples, and nice lady gave me about 8, so managed to make a start on mens now tooThe opposite of what you know...is also true0 -
Quick update from me.
I received an email from Douwe Egberts which said:
"Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. Your email arrived in good time, as we currently have some samples of our Brazilian Samba instant coffee. I'll have them sent out this week for you. Best wishes on your big day". This came last week but was in my junk email.
Got home last night and I had a box with 42 sachets of coffee in. I tried one (just to make sure it was ok and didn't taste like dish water) and it was bloomin lovely. My mugs are now complete, I'll post a picture once I've put them together, I'm off on my way home to buy a jar of the coffee I like it that much0 -

I have emailed numerous of the premium skin care companies explaining about my sensitive skin and so prefering to try before I buy & asking for samples.
I know you can sometimes get these at the skincare counters in dept stores but they usually only come with a consultation after which there is a hard sell so I thought I would try an alternative approach!
Emails sent to:
Aveda, Clarins, Clinique, Elemis, Bliss, L'Occitane, Decleor, Molton Brown, Benefit, Philosophy Crabtree & Evelyn and Liz Earle....
Big thumbs up for Elemis :money: whom upon answering a few questions about my skin were happy to send out a few samples.
L'Occitane also obliged. :T
Aveda, Origins & Clarins all said they don't keep the samples at their distribution Centres.
Molton Brown advised a free sample would be given with purchase online or in store - which defeats my object.
Benefit advised these are reserved for purchasing customers at their counters only - which again defeats my purpose.
Origins said that they too didn't keep samples but did offer a 'satisfaction gurantee' whereby if something is unsuitable it can be returned - fair enough I suppose.
Still awaiting a response from Bliss, Decleor, Philosophy, Clinique Crabtree & Evelyn and Liz Earle....
Will see what I get0 -
I've had samples from L'occitane, Philosophy, Elemis
Promise of samples from Crabtree & Evelyn & Ultrasun.
No's from - Decleor, Liz Earle, Sanctuary, Cath Kidston, Schseido, Keils, Balance Me amongst others....
No reply from Clinique & Clarins!!! Shame on such well known brands!!!
Very few companies it would seem are willing to send out samples without purchasing from them. Customer service0 -

Hi all,
I used to work for Clinique and the best way to get samples or testers is to make friends with the counter manager and go in and have a free pre-wedding makeover. Drop in to conversation you are thinking of something different for favours, and leave it at that.
I have to say that the samples that get sent to store can be hit and miss - none for ages and then loads. You might also want to hit the counter just after bonus time, and find out if the department store is doing a cosmetics evening as you'll find that the samples all arrive for that.
Clarins are the best at on counter samples, Estee Lauder, YSL, Dior and Lancome very rarely had any when I worked for Clinique.
The other great time to go sample hunting is when any cosmetic house is launching a new product.

PS...make friends with someone on the fragrance counter for the same reasons as above, buy a perfume and they give you loads of testers. Chanel don't make testers though :-(On the path to married life!0 -
I've had knock backs from just about everyone, maybe I'm not writing the right thing. Has anyone got any examples of what you wrote and who is the best to send them too?
Thanks.Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where the heck is the ceiling?0
