Taking My Own Shopping Trolly in Supermarkets = Hassle?

Take a small child with you. Mine argue over who gets to pull the empty trolley to the shops.0

I had to do that at Lidl because they had no baskets for some reason! I didn't have a pound for the trolley, but I felt I had to be very obvious about putting the stuff in my bag so they wouldn't think I was stealing!0

Hi, I work at Mr Ts and lots of people put stuff into these type of trolleys or in cool bags etc. I never have a problem with it although I agree it might be difficult to bend down to put things on the conveyor belt. It might be a good idea to tell the security on the desk what you are doing but as long as you pay at the end I think most stores are ok with it. I also have a lot of people that only put one of each item onto the belt and then just tell me how many they have. I much prefer this as often it's bottles, boxes of beer or bags of dog food which is heavy so suits both me and them0

If I put an item on the conveyor because I've bulk bought, I tell the checkout person straight away, how many I have and make sure they are all fully in view of him/her.0

Get it delivered. At £3 on a Wednesday it's cheaper than a cab. They shop, pack, deliver and put it in the kitchen for me. Result!I Believe in saving money!!!:T

I remember seeing a lady in a convenience store in Dublin. She had a four-wheeled trolley with tartan sides full of stuff. She took out three or four things and said "I've got two of those" and the man scanned it twice and she put it back in "and three of those". Then off she went. It looked odd to me but it was none of my business.0

I always take one a John Lewis £30 jobbie and stick it upright in the trolley as I process my way around the Supermarket. No complaints and it helps me no end to do my shop in a happy way.#TY[/B] Would be Qaulity MSE Challenge Queen.
Reading whatever books I want to the rescue!:money::beer[/B
