Went for one of these, very sad and old looking. Looked like the frost had got to them also. The cucumber were the worst I have ever seen this week, pale and squashy. Vote with the feet!A watched pot always boils. :j0 -
yesterday in my local Tesco Metro they wanted £2.50 for a cauli no way would I pay that sort of money so I voted with my feet and went to the greengrocers and bought a head of brocolli reduced to 35p I can live without cauli at that sort of price0

I'd complain about that, sounds like your local Lidl's stock control isn't up to much. My local branch is very good, the fruit and veg are excellent. Certainly the two cauliflowers and the cucumber I bought on Tuesday were fine.
Also, for some reason cauliflowers are very common in my local Tesco reduced section, I get at least one a week there. Usually 15p or 20p.Val.0 -
69p or a HUGE cauliflower in Aldi today(and yes Edwardia it was British). I was really lucky as fixture was empty but as I moved round the store they came out with new stock.
So big that I made a good cauliflower cheese tonight and have enough left in the fridge to make a decent side with Sunday's roast.:)0
