I have an old Nokia 6110 that I have found in my kitchen drawer! I would liek to unlock it. Can I do this at home via some site on the net (can't find one) or do I have to take it to Old Joe's mobile shop in the market?
Any help appreciated! Thanks

Thanks again to everyone who responded - appreciated. When I tried out one of these it came up with "SIM not restricted" and flashed off! Nevertheless my Virgin SIM didn't work!

I'm now thinking that the Nokia 6110 works on GSM900 whilst Virgin (ie T-Mobile) works on a different frequency? Does this sound likley to people who know more about these things? If this is so then presumably I would need to try to get hold of a free O2 or Vodaphone SIM?

    Thanks for any help.

That is the problem. The 6110 operates on 900Mhz whereas T-Mobile operates on 1800mhz. O2 is a 900Mhz network so should work on that ok.

Hmmm, does anyone know of any free SIMS that work on 900MHz - ie presumably O2 or Vodafone SIMS? thanks

There were some O2 very recently; they come around more often than most. I might have some in the post soon; send PM in case.
