Had no heating and doors open all day here, too!

DS loves his bed, sadly so does his sister, and took some cajoling to get her out so he could go to sleep. He's decided she can have a princess bed when she's a bit bigger.

Dry stuff put away except ironing bits, and kitchen tackled:

    Killer Kitchen - Monday
    Level One
    [STRIKE]Clear and wipe work surfaces
Open the windows and let in the spring![/STRIKE]
    Level Two
    [STRIKE]Sweep and Mop the floor[/STRIKE]
Clean the gacky filters and drawers from DW's, WM's etc
[STRIKE]Wipe the cupboard fronts, appliances and all those manky corners!![/STRIKE]
    Level Three
[STRIKE]Wipe the table, replace cloth if needed
Clean all those small appliances, wipe their home then put them back..
Wipe the gicky things out of the fridge.[/STRIKE]
    Extras
Clean oven/[STRIKE]hob[/STRIKE] if you must.. *rolls eyes*
HHI .. with your clean iron!!
Clean windows and sills - done yesterday
treat the pets for fleas!!! This is prime time for them to be developing an infestation.. the last thing you need in your house! (still not done mine.. bad me!) - pet free home

I'm not doing the challenge yet as I'm working mon-wed but will deffo look at chipped crockery this week...

Shower and bed for me I think, after my cuppa. Phew.

    Killer Kitchen - Monday - DONE :) :j

Bit the bullet and ordered some new plates/bowls and bake ware... thanks for the tip on chips in crockery - bleurgh!

On a related note, I discovered the other day that I possess NO ceramic bowls. None. They're all plastic or melamine! This is what having children does to you :) So getting new ones has the added bonus of allowing me to hold my head up if i ever have guests round requiring a bowl :)

Absolutely sickened by the explosions at the Boston Marathon. My heart goes out to all those affected in any way. I love Boston as a city.

  • Hello.....late to the party once again - thank you for the lists

Woot-woot for Ionafan for the house.

In accordance with last week, I am only going to record what has been done, rather than ruminating about all the stuff I haven't done.

    So Killer Kitchen Monday

Opened windows in Kitchen, LR, Study, Bathroom, ensuite, my BR, DD2 and DD3 for half hour
    Picked up gibble in hallway
    DW loaded x 1
pegged out 2 outstanding loads of WET washing from weekend :o
WM x 2 and pegged out same day with DS "help"
picked up recycling from around the house
received fleabay parcel with DS "new to him" collared shirts in time for nursery - "flip flopped" remainder into his drawer
DD4 bathed and massaged before taking DS to nursery
Press-ganged into meeting HV at "Tums and Tinies" baby group :eek::eek:
    Collected DS prescription
Found ID and Registered DS and DD4 at library, and got new library card for me (I haven't set foot in a library since I moved here over 6 yrs ago :o and then probably not for another 8 years before that) come away with 10 books between them :D:D
Returned phone call from Monday last week to Dentist  - oh well better late than never ;)
Update white board with appointments for next 7 weeks
check fleabay emails and left feedback
spent time wrestling with my green steam mop - not working AGAIN
Main bathroom and ensuite loos bleached and scrubbed
    Ensuite sink scrubbed
Prepared tea for DS and myself
Daisy duty maintained for another day :j:j:j
Decluttered my handbag of 1/4 bottle of leaked baby lotion
opened all post that was delivered today :D instead of filing them unopened for weeks on end:o
handful of gibble removed from car on way in from nursery run
    plants in porch watered
Cut DS tallons short while he napped ;)

    DD3 has

brought all washing in and put it away - with the exception of DD4 washable nappies which need to be pre folded with liners before putting away
    kept the herbal tea flowing
served up my and DS tea, and cooked her own tea (meatball sub????? :rotfl:)
tidied her pod in the Study
    changed DD4 nappy
    reloaded DW x 1

Tomorrow is going to be a stressy day, horsepiddle first thing for DD3, and my Big Black Cloud appointment at lunchtime instead.

Time to catch up with Fred, and see what I can snipe on fleabay tonight

    TTFN
The cold never bothered me anyway

Thanks. Nurse said improvement, still one cut edge not healed so she's put another set of steri-strips on and wants another look on Thursday. I've never had this much medical attention in my entire life!

Chaos at work today - knew it would be, after 2 unplanned days off when I'd intended to catch up on paperwork. Restructuring imminent, so lots of rumours/smoke & mirrors etc.

Plan lots of gardening flying tomorrow, OH has booked day off as the forecast is good.

Not much housework today - well, none in fact, unless you count going to C0-0p on way home. Caught up on a few surveys and prepped a few letters for m@il surveys oops that's secret; now you'll have to kill me :(

Well done on getting the house, pleased for you. You must be dancing around with joy now :D

Welcome back to the returnees :D Lovely to see you back.

Can't believe about the Boston Marathon explosions.. Who on earth would do that one wonders.

I bet our government is bricking it now with Maggies funeral on Wednesday - prime targets. And then our marathon at the weekend.
