We should really have an IDW,IDW,IDW (I Didn't Win) board too, it would definitely put the chances of winning into perspective.Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

If you get to 18 months without a win or one win (text entry euromillions tickets) in four and a half years from entering via MSE then I'll show some sympathy.
Edit: When I tried looking for posts thanked by the OP to see how many comps they were entering, all I got was "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms."0 -
I have been comping for a few months too, doing at least a couple of hours every day and also haven't won anything yet but to me I just enjoy entering and the anticipation of possibly winning.
I think it's like people say above, if you're starting to get annoyed by it then you're probably not in the best mindset to do it, it shouldn't feel like a chore.
You stand more of a chance entering smaller competitions and ones that are local to you as less people would enter a competition for something if they had to travel to get there. And also to repeat what was said before, the more you enter the more of a chance you stand of winning anything - you have to be in it to win it.
I think the IWIWIW board does give the impression that people are winning all the time but that's not generally the case and it's nice to have a place for everyone to celebrate it together. Although I do see the point that it could make people feel discouraged if they aren't winning anything themselves.
Why don't you give yourself a week off comping and treat yourself to a meal out or something instead with the time that you will be saving, then you could come back with a more positive attitude towards it?
I hope your luck turns around soon anyway, I'm sure it will!0 -

I think the OP must be "efficent comping" :-)

If you want to make things even more efficient, why not stop thanking the OP? Think of all that time clicking or opening threads you won't enter to just click Thanks

I think I must be a "glass half full" kinda person, I like to go and look at IWIWIW when I am not winning, it makes me think look at what these people have won, pick your chin up and get on with it and you could win stuff like this too.
I have been comping since February, I have won a jumper a smelly set and 3 golden dog bowls (if they ever come) and a fridge magnet, it costs nowt to enter the comps, passes your time and maybe if your lucky you will win something.
My computer is on 16/18 hours a day (I don't sit at it all that time ) I do the dailies every day, the mags every day and I try to do 20 pages from the regular comps daily (one day I WILL get to page one :rotfl:)
I believe comping is as the rest of life you will get out of it what you put into it

I don't look at IWIWIW very often, but when I do I find it encouraging. I think it is a question of attitude. I don't look at it and think, 'That means I am going to win lots too'. I'm genuinely glad to see people I know a little here winning stuff.
For me it's always about the excitement of what could be, rather than what I've won. I haven't won much this year, but I've been entering far less comps too. The comps I enter now are mainly the more popular ones, so I know I've less chances of winning much, or even at all. But even if you only enter the ITV comps, where each person has a very small chance of winning, at least it's a chance, and that's great. It's why people do the lottery after all.
I love getting a win, but best of all is the hope of winning. Even when I go ages without winning, it doesn't take away the excitement of wondering what might happen tomorrow.

Comping since September '12.
Thats 7/8 months and not a single win of anything!!!
Hi! I've been comping a month longer than you. Although I've won stuff (but nothing life's changing) it took me several months to learn about rules of this forum. I also read from time to time compers guide written by many experienced compers and I still find new tricks there.
For me comping is addictive because everyday when I check my mailbox I got butterflies in my stomachEveryday when I read books in bed on my tablet that I won thanks to MSE compers I smile
Comping since August 2012.
Wins 2013: headphones, all sorts of tickets.
Goal for 2013: TV, iPad and holidays
Thank you to ALL compers !! :T0 -

I am livid I have spent so much time completing these things I am wondering if A. I am doing something wrong and B. I shouldnt be doing this at all if this is how I feel!
Everyone says 'keep at it' and 'ive had dry spells' etc etc but no one on here ive seen say they have gone this long with nothing whatsoever! Im so hacked off with it I really am!
Am I doing something wrong?!
Help!
If you're 'livid' maybe that's a sign you need to stop entering. You can't expect to win anything at all, it just comes down to luck at the end of the day. If you can't treat it like a hobby and enjoy the actual entering then maybe it's not for you.MAY THE ODDS BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOUR0 -
I love the iwiwiw section! gives me hope that i can win, im sorry but if you dont like the section don't look at it!
Comping is luck, you cant expect to win anything coz there is a good chance you wont! i just like doing it on the off chance i do win and thats good enough for me!0
