Yep, entered dozens of competitions to win "Walking With Dinosaurs" tickets, as my boys were desperate to see it, gave up in the end and bought tickets when they were on special offer so didn't mind so much.

(Sods law says I'll get a WEM for some tickets in the next few weeks, ha ha ha!!!)

We really want to buy a meat grinder but I'm currently entering daily to win one from a blog. I can't quite bring myself to order one until the comp ends :D

May you all have lots of luck, Emma xx

I've gone on to buy regularly from Visionary Soap and Riverford after winning from them - the bar soap I would never have tried but it was so much better on my dry hands than my normal organic liquid soap that I only buy that now and Riverford I'd been tempted to order from but once the prize arrived I loved it so much I did then order.

I've seen quite a few dvd's I'd like too which I wouldn't have read about if it weren't for the comps.

We went to see the show last week (not from a win either). The dinosaurs are AMAZING.

I hope you enjoy it as much as we did and have a fabulous time :)

We saw it when it toured last in 2009 and I agree it was utterly amazing. My youngest son was too little to go last time so I've been desperate to take him! :D

I showed my OH a competition I was entering for some Mapin & Webb earrings and told him how lovely there were. Low and behold, he bought them for me for my b-day 2 weeks later. Unfortunately, whilst I would have been very happy to win them, I hate the thought that he paid £175 just for a pair of silver earrings. There is nothing special about them but I could not tell him that as he would have been so upset. So I have a lovely pair of overpriced earrings sitting upstairs that I dont wear as I'm scared I will lose them lol
    Thank you all who post.

I bought my dad some gardening bits for Christmas that I saw as a comp prize on Vegetarian Living. He loved it so much that I bought father in law the same for his birthday, he loved it too!

I won a book last month that is the first part of a trilogy, and I have bought other 2 books now as I enjoyed it so much. It was the type of book I would never normally read, so I am very grateful to be introduced to a new genre.

I also won another book a few years ago, which is one of a large series of books. Since then I have bought most of the rest of the series and they have become some of my favourite books now.

I've been trying to win an iPad but ended up buying one from Ebay as because I have M.E, I find it very hard to use my laptop sometimes but the internet is about as far as my social life goes so it keeps me in touch with people.

Yes! A few years ago, I was trying so hard to win an iPad. In the end, I went out and bought one... I won one 2 weeks later! :rotfl:

I tried the same philosophy with a TV and a laptop, but it didn't work.
October Wins: £100 photobook voucher, sippy cup and booster seat.

I am guessing it was Delerium as I have done the same :rotfl:Such a cliff hanger at the end of the 1st and 2nd books.
