Cost of updates on new house purchase

I've been viewing a few houses and they all need differing degrees of work done which I'm trying to quantify.

I was hoping people could help me with a few ball park figures rather than getting a range of generic quotes.

Any idea on a price range for the following would be great :

Middle of the range kitchen
White Goods
Double glazing PVC for approx 8 windows
Double glazing French Patio doors
Guttering
Fascias
Boiler
Mid range bathroom (bath/shower, toilet and wash basin)
WC (toilet and wash basin)

Thanks for any help, just want to build up a quick mental picture.

    Thankyou, thats great info.

Mostly as I expected but I am surprised by the double glazing.

An estate agent (shouldn't trust them) told me I'd pay about 1.5k

Yes 5k is right for the double glazing, I just paid a similar amount for 7 windows in London, but one was a huge bay with a fancy tilt mechanism.
  • Middle of the range kitchen £8k
    White Goods - £1k
Double glazing PVC for approx 8 windows £5k
Double glazing French Patio doors £2k
    Guttering £750
    Fascias £750
    Boiler £2k
Mid range bathroom (bath/shower, toilet and wash basin) £3k
WC (toilet and wash basin) £750

    That's useful to know.

Can I ask how much a good-quality - ie last a lifetime/sturdy/German then maybe? kitchen would be. Can I hazard a guess at £15,000 and be somewhere in the right region? (probably without building-in any of the "white goods"/cooker).
