Flight stats info

Options
Has anyone else had similar problem. I got details of the Thomas Cook flights from Lanzarote from flight stats for 28/09/2008 the date my flight was to depart to Belfast but there is no record of my flight or any flight on that date being delayed overnight, the flight I believe I was on, just has comments beside it status unknown. Also the flight I believe I was on the next day has status unknown beside it as well. Do they document if a flight has been delayed and when it eventually departed?

    Hi calabash48,

Yes the site does but some flights do come up unknown, it showed our flight was 137 minutes delayed and we missed our connecting flight but when i put connecting flight details it it comes up unknown.

Yeah, it doesn't have all of them. But it doesn't matter. If you know you were delayed, the airline are hardly likely to deny it.

My flight from Sharm was 24 hours delayed, but the status is "unknown". Monarch however wrote me a letter, for insurance purposes, confirming the delay.

    Hi calabash48

If you go here https://en.skymediator.com it will tell you if your flight was delayed. Does not give you any info about the flight though.

I looked there - it doesn't give you any info at all, you have to enter it yourself.
As a test, I put the scheduled time, not the actual time and it still said I could claim.

Are you sure they are not just another bunch of 'ambulance chasers'?

It has access to the scheduled times, and relies on you to say how late you are - and makes a judgement based on that. Not that useful really ...

Hi Jb that's what i said it does not give you any info but if you know the details it will tell you if your flight was delayed. and yes they are a bunch of ambulance chasers as you put it. But you don't need to use them its easy to do the work yourself and there are plenty of helpful people on here to point you in the right direction. The point the OP was making was that his flight was showing up as unknown. I think the info I should have given the OP is http://www.euclaim.co.uk/flight-delayed same scenario a bunch of ambulance chasers but it will tell you if your flight was delayed again no info though. I just couldn't remember what it was called all you need is the date and flight number.

You are correct in that you say it's not that useful, but slightly incorrect in the judgement it makes.
I told it that we had arrived on time and it still came up saying 'click here to claim'!!
