My boiler is 33 years old :)

My Potterton is still a youngster at 23 then :rotfl:

OP: just find a local independent and have the boiler serviced.
Now free from the incompetence of vodafail

    It's an Alpha C27 Boiler.

I've had a massive rummage through the stuff the previous homeowner left me and I've found the literature they got when it was installed.
There's also a maintenance letter from Homeserve GB. £9.99 per month. Seems reasonable although that might be a 2007 price!

Boiler registered in January 2004 so it's 9 years 3 months old.
I think it'll need money spent on it as its behaving erratically.

Ps thanks for all your help guys.
