Have your day in court ! Tell them I know I was speeding and yes I was aware the police car was following me but I still carried on, then let us know the result, oh take your bike clips to court, best of luck, also play the my family will all perish story, I know I speed, but I don't speed too much, love it ; )0

A lot depends on the court on the day. A sob story might work ...
I was in court a few years ago to contest a speeding charge (unsuccessfully), but a lady who was up on the same day did rather better. Her name was Dr S*** R****, and during conversation I learned she was a biochemist with a job repping for a drug company. She was up for 60 in a 40 or something and was already on 9 points. Her strategy was this: she turned on the tears, big time, and then introduced herself to the court as Doctor R**** (which was nothing less than the truth, but a little misleading), and said that she would find it very difficult to fulfil her responsibilities and carry out her work which involved a lot of home visits if she were unable to drive. She got a pretty big fine, but no ban, and walked out of the court laughing.
I, on the other hand, told the absolute truth and got screwed for costs on top of an increased fine, but that's another story. If someone is nice to you but rude to the waiter, they are not a nice person.0 -
Hi there I was travelling to work in a 40mph , I broke the speed and was doing 50mph I am sorry ! It's not big or cleaver
I almost always find that whenever I stop a car driver they persistently under estimate the time or amount of their wrong doing. Drink drivers have always only drunk two pints no matter how high the result on the Drager, mobile phone users normallt swear blind that they had only just looked at the phone as I spotted them, and speeding drivers always knock off a good 10-20% from their genuine speed. These comments are not scientific in any way but have been developed through experience of dealing with the general public. I am much more likely to use words of advice when someone gives me a genuine answer than with someone who is clearly lieing to me.
BTW was it the road traffic police who stopped you or was it a response or neighbourhood PC. Traffic police cars have calibrated speedos whilst those of response or neighbourhood are not, and therefore their officers would have to rely on their experience to estimate your speed.0 -
Anyway a police car came behind me and said I was doing 70mph ! Which is a false and untrue statement ! My response was have u caught me with a gun or camera ! He said no I had to speed up to 70mph to get close to you
When pulled by the cops, before they get to your door, turn on voice record.
I have respect for the Police and the difficult job they do, some are great, but some are idiots.
You have to remember they are just normal people, give a normal idiot a hat and they're still an idiot.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
