Hi there I was travelling to work in a 40mph , I broke the speed and was doing 50mph I am sorry ! It's not big or cleaver !! Anyway a police car came behind me and said I was doing 70mph ! Which is a false and untrue statement ! My response was have u caught me with a gun or camera ! He said no I had to speed up to 70mph to get close to you , my reply was I can ensure u I was doing 50 ! 10mph over speed limit , any way I have now received a letter which states I have been summons to court , what do any one think the out come will be ? I can handle points and fine ! But can't afford to lose license as will effect my job plus my daughter is due in 10 weeks,

A ban is possible, (probable), which is why you have been summonsed.

Get your "hardship" story ready, as sometimes they will give you extra points and let you keep driving if you have good reasons why you shoildn't be banned.

They are going off there speedo in there car , but cos I was 250 yards ahead , they were accelerating hard to get behind me . So I can see how they hit 70mph but that still does not prove that I was doing it , now I have been summons to court . I have the options off pleading guilty by post or appear or go not guilty ! I have put my hands up to 50mph ... But I refuse to At 70mph ... As its a false statement

Yes we know you say you were doing 50 in a 40 yet the fuzz say you were doing 70, get over to pepipo. Go to court and state your case.

How long had he been behind you ? If you don't know you should get done for not using yor rear mirror. If he stayed behind you for a mile (1 minute) he could he could give an opinion on your speed from his speedo reading.

They followed me for 0.8 miles . I have 3 points already ! Also have letters from my employer stating I need my lisence for my job failing I don't I would become unemployed that would result off losing my home etc , also my partner and daughter would suffer ! I dont mind points and fine just need my lisence , I am going to plead guilty to dining 50mph as I was but as for 70nph is false .
