Afternoon all
I've made a batch of Twinks, a banana loaf, some spicy beef & mushroom with rice for hubby's packups & some cheese & ham pastries.
I've also cut out the 3 cushion covers for DD1, 2 plain & one patchwork.
The sun is still shining, there is a small plane doing acrobatics over head & the neighbours have rap music blaring out. Our first tray of cut & come again lettuce is ready, so I have done some boiled eggs, I can have egg & lettuce sarnies tomorrow.
Have a good afternoon everyone.
Hugs Hester

Uh, oh - we get a minor rise in temperature, and Halight starts shedding his clothes.:rotfl:Not much on for me.
Poor Mary's little legs are not working too well today; she's sat down unexpectedly with a bit of a thump a couple of times.
TMI warning - put your mouse over the next bit if you wish to read; I've "whited" it out in case anyone's eating.
One of Mary's unexpected sit-downs was immediately after pooing: poor lass, I had to spend a fun half-hour cleaning her tail end for her.:(
Anyways, washing more or less all dry - only thing remaining on the line is a top I had to wash by hand (why do I have so many of those??)
Veggie toad-in-the-hole has been consumed; Mr LW is back in front of his work laptop. The consolation (for him) is that having to do the monitoring this weekend is getting him out of doing the garden.:cool:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
I forgot to say that we had a lovely time with my best friend last night and her 2 girls and niece and the dinner was scrummy. She made a trifle and chocolate cake. Her niece has been removed from her mums care. I can't go into it. She's nearly 8 and still wears pull up nappies at night. To look at her, she looks about 12. Very sad and she's quite delayed with communication etc.
Washing is out on the line and DW reloaded.
In the SC there is a mixed veggie chilli with onion, frozen peppers, tin of baked beans, little garlic powder, kidney beans, chick peas, frozen mushrooms, carton of passata, water and some left over sweet potato. Have added some chilli powder and Jamaican hot sauce to spice it up a bit and a little paprika for a little smokiness. Be nice with rice or on a baked spud with cheese. Totally gluten free too and there should be enough for about 8 large portions.
A kind lady from Freegle gave me about 50 rolls of packing tape yesterday and brown wrapping paper and have been offered some recycled padded envelopes as we're trying to cut back for DD's Uni funds.
Have filled out the tenancy agreement for DD's Uni room and is a 42 week contract at £199pw:eek::eek::eek::eek: Paid the £250 deposit and we are guarantors:eek::eek::eek::eek: She is hoping to spend one of her years abroad to do her degree and will give her experience of what her options could be once graduated. Im really not looking forward to her going, but she needs to start her new life and blossom into the butterfly she's been working so hard towards for years now. You've all known her since 2005...wow...thats a very long time!! Thanks for helping me through it all:D
Anyway, I am waffling now.

Afternoon all,
My DD loved the vintage fair, right up her street, two people stopped and asked where her jacket, dress etc from. She should have been born before me:D she bought herself a nice picture with an S for Samantha, very pretty.
My friends stall looked lovely and she was doing very well.
We also popped into Hobbycraft which is right next door, omg the wool prices where extortionate. So we nipped to The Range which was much more reasonable although not a lot of choice. I got two multi coloured balls and two matching plain colours for £7 which I'd didn't think was too bad. Some of Hobbycraft wool was £10 a ball:eek:
I'm hoping to crochet granny squares and put them together to make a throw. Will need more wool but hopefully because its multi coloured I can add different colours from my scraps and they will look ok.
Tenyearsago I'm a bit bored with my blanket too but hoping to finish it in the next day or so.
I've seen the cutest pink and greay elephant to crochet for baby bump as well.
Don't even get me started on the cross stitch sampler I want to do. Just not enough hours in the day.
Tea has been pulled out of the freezer, hm chilli and rice with garlic bread.
No phone calls about my blood test so fingers crossed its nothing serious. I am at the hospital tomorrow with my leg so hope things will be sorted soon.
My dd finds out which school our little DGS goes to tomorrow so fingers crossed its the one near his current nursery which is outstanding with Oftsed. They live in the catchment area so really hoping he gets in.
PP  at the price of rooms at Uni. Our youngest is hoping to go the year after next, have no idea how we will afford it.
Have a peaceful afternoon xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Thats a huge amount. My DD's is going to be 75 a week and I thought that was atrocious:(I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0
