I'm actually intending to do a bit of finger work and find out the RRR of those items and see if they tally up to £25.

    My research so far is:

    nail polish - £3.99
    lipstick - £6.95
    lip liner - couldn't find ???
cream eye shadow - £5 each

So I think you have had your £25 worth at RRP prices.

I would be interested to see your research as I don't know exactly which items you had (and there are lots of different lipsticks and polishes).

Of course you can find these items at much cheaper prices on many bargain sites over the web but those are never the prices that are used for valuations by ANY other comapny.
Besides, they advertise 8 items in the gift set yet only 5 have arrived. I know they did say items might not be as advertised but you would think they should at least give you the right number as advertised?

It clearly says "For llustration purposes only, contents may vary".
Clearly if the items you get are more expensive ones then you may get a smaller number, or you could get a larger number of cheap items.

I honestly don't thin they have done anything wrong.

I have had 2 sets from them.
The first one had some weird colours in (like blue lip gloss). I got a few quid back off ebay. The second set was really nice and it all suited me (which I didn't expect).

I don't work for them but I think you've had what was advertised.

I posted this a couple of weeks ago. You supposedly get another set if you enter code "nectar" at checkout.
You'll get your order with only one gift pack & you'll have to chase them for the second. It will come though.
Also the £25 gift pack is pants. All old stock in freaky colours, but hey it's free :D

    Hi
I've tried e-mailing them to ask this but my e-mail has been returned due to a full mailbox apparently - I've put the code in the box but nothing happens to show it at the checkout.

I've just received my £25-worth of free cosmetics from BuyCosmetics from a different promotion. In my opinion, I think they're pushing it a bit to suggest this gift is worth £25. I would say more like £5 at best! It comprises the type of products found in a clearance basket at the end of the season that no-one wants to buy. The set includes:

1x Revlon Super lustrous Pearl lipstick shade 413 Twinkled Pink (a pale pink)
1x Almay Amazing Lasting Lipliner shade 07 Berries (reddish brown)
1x Almay Bright Eyes Colour Shadow Cream shade 06 Mocha shimmer (pale beige) 6ml
1x Almay Bright Eyes Colour Cream Shadow shade 03 Lilac Lustre (pale lilac) 6ml
1x Rimmel 60 seconds Nail Polish shade 617 Bright Spark (a vile glittery orange) 8ml

The only product I've tried was the eyeshadow which creased on the eyelids making me look about 50! I'm 34 by the way with wrinkle-free lids!! So unless you fancy pale pink lips with a dark liner, lilac or beige eyeshadow and orange nails I'd save your money as I think you'll be disappointed...
  • Ebay it! I've not received mine yet, but as I was buying over £10 worth of makeup, I'll get it for free. If the colours I get don't suit me, I'll see if I can get rid of them on Ebay....you never know, someone out there may be hunting everywhere for a vile glittery orange nail varnish!! ;)
Lead me not into temptation - I can find it perfectly well all by myself :D
