    it's rollox, as long as you are over 18 and a UK resident and can fund it with £500 externally don't worry.

    Could you recommend what full-time students making online applications should say their "employment status" is? The options, as I'm sure you're aware (;)), are...

    If you opened the account in branch presumably you would still have to state what you do, right? Is there an option for student there, or if there isn't, how would you get around that? Especially if the student either didn't work or didn't earn very much.

    Whoever set up the web page probably had a bad day, or suffers from a student-phobia. As I commented before, there is nothing in the T&Cs [that I can see] that excludes students.
