Tribunal letter

I got a letter from the tribunal service today.
I have to sign and give details of my GP. The letter says to get a medical report but the bit I have to sign says , obtain further medical evidence.
I was told I would have a Doc coming to me to do a medical. So why am I being asked to sign this, do I need to give formal consent for this Doc to come out?
The form I am asked to sign just says : Ref- authorisation to obtain further medical evidence.
I have also not got the notice of adjournment that I believe I should have got. When should I get it?

Sorry, DLA.
They are simply asking for permission to write and ask your GP for further evidence. Obviously when you completed the original application you did not give that permission. That's all it is.
So long as your GP is aware that it will happen and what they need to say in relation to what you are claiming for then all should be well. So also make a GP appointment to discuss this with them.0 -

I signed my DLA section saying they can contact GP/Psychiatrist, they did indeed write to the Psychiatrist. So am lost on how they want this. Plus mental health records are different to normal health records. Am not really happy about having to waste the Doc time to discuss my claim. Doc mean unwell or have a worry re health.0 -
The tribunal have to get your permission to arrange an examining medical practitioner to visit you, this sounds like what you have been sent.0

They are not messing me about, just wording letters odd. I was told at the tribunal a medical would be arranged. No problem with me.
What I do have a problem is giving open access to my medical file to a department!
Their was no mention of going back to my consultant or the pointless task of going near my GP.
The letter says to arrange a medical report. Yet the declaration says permission to get further medical evidence. Whilst asking for GP details.
The reason why a medical is called for is due to my Psychiatrist giving one sentence replys, then for me highlighting parts that conflict. So this medical could be to my advantage when I reflect. Right enough a bit worried about a Atos Doc coming here.
When I remember- Are Atos Doctors also docs within local practices, or do they just work for Atos?0 -

We used to get a few letters a week telling us our Income Support is changing, ALL letters saying the same thing. Amount of money involved in that. Had no such letters since we moved onto ESA.0
