Nationwide passnumber invisible?

scroug
I have attempted to use online banking with nationwide (twice now) The first time the pass number was barely visible and what i attempted to type in got me locked out....so i re - registered this time i logged in (once) but it became clear to me when i tried to log in the second time that the digits i barely made out from the pass number sheet was pure luck.:(
My question is does anyone know a special technique for deciphering the nationwide pass numbers from that black strip thing you have to pull off? do i need some sort of uv light or duster kit?
or if there is an alternate way to get my pass number (rather than risking typing in the wrong one and having to sign up all over again) thanks:D

forget the ID number and get a card reader.

Agreed, card reader is much easier. I prefer the Barclays one, the Nationwide one is bit of a "cheap as possible" affair.0

I opened a new a/c this week, not with Nationwide and the Pin number was almost invisible. Even with my glasses on and using a magnifying glass it was barely visible. I've not tried it yet so hope i guessed right.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

You can just walk in with your letter and be given one.
I got one from Barclays just by asking for one. Works great with Nationwide.0
