I just wanted to confirm that the AIP rules relate to Pension Credit not working age benefits.
Congratulations on your successful appeal, given the stress you have been under you ought to consider making a complaint for maladministration. People rarely make formal complaints (because they are so busy appealing) however the DWP can and do make special payments when they have caused someone distress, additional costs e.g postage, phone calls overdraft charges etc.

It may also encourage them to remind (re-train) the decision makers about the regulations re; transitional protection.0 -
Am glad to have found this thread. Currently being 'migrated' from IB to ESA. If I have understood previous posts correctly, can I take it that if I am put in the ESA (Support Group) my occupational ill-health pension of £89.25 per week will continue to be ignored by DWP and the ESA will not be reduced because of it? I was previously on the old invalidity benefit in the late 1990's, then I was changed over to incapacity benefit after that. I recall some years ago I was asked by DWP if I had any other pension and I told them about my ill-health pension but it was ignored and I have not received any enquiries about it since then. I assume I came under the 'transitional protection' arrangements. I'm not in receipt of DLA. Many thanks for any help/advice.0
