Hi.
I had a parking notice through the post back in October and took the advice of ignoring it, however, this morning I have received a letter from Debt Recovery Plus Ltd threatening all sorts unless I pay within 14 days.
What is the advice here?
Are the two companies related?

You don't say which scammers gave you the fake ticket. But DR + are useless and cannot initiate a court claim, they will write to you pretending to be a different company next, Zenith Collections are them look at the bottom right hand corner of the letter when you get them.
The thing to do is nothing, just ignore them completely. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Just do a search of this forum putting "Debt Recovery Plus" into the search box and you will find loads of posts this 'company' is discussed. Basically its just the usual threats many have received and ignored. If you do ignore you will no doubt get a threatening letter from a Graham White solicitor....which again you can ignore. Nothing to worry about.
On the very slim chance the PPC decides to take this to court come back here and a regular here will show you how to proffer a defence which will probably lead to the PPC pulling out.
Basically, you still have nowt to worry yourself with.

I don't think graham white is used by dr+ they use zenith as they are the same company. Still roxburghe and GW are equally useless debt collectors as this lot. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

Okay please don't put more info up here as parking eye employ people to track websites like these, they look for people getting advice and put small claims in. Parking Eye issue about 540k fake tickets each year about a third are not paid, they issue a minute amount of claims in comparison.
The advice is still ignore, don't respond to any private messages about this, it could be them claiming to help, you'll get all the advice you need in the open forum. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

DRP are just a debt collector and also use the name Zenith. They are not the same firm as any parking company they just chase the non-debts for these scammers, by standard junk mail, that's their only connection and they have no clout, are not bailiffs and can't just get a CCJ against you.
Here you go, join the club and carry on ignoring:

I have to admit to getting really bored by this rubbish DRP letter-chain with new posts every single day now when a search would find dozens of the same old answer = carry on ignoring them. Frankly I just don't understand the panic about these particular letters at all, why the panic, it's just DRP, they are mentioned flippin' everywhere and have been sending 'threatogram' junk mail re fake PCNs for years and poeple have ignored them for YEARS too.
HTHPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
