Get a Rav4....without a doubt the most reliable jeep. You can easily get one for under 2 grand. You can easily get one for UNDER a grand at auction.

Instead of a 4x4 (I used to have a Shogun) ... Might I suggest something like a Fiat Doblo 1.9 JTD (NOT the non-Turbo) ... My wife & I bought one a few years ago for the same reasons (dodgy knees & hips), and it's been an excellent car and goes/handles MUCH better than it may appear to someone who's never driven one.

Lovely wide doors, nice & high & roomy seating position without the usual 4x4 roll, good for 105mph & 55mpg in standard trim, or 120+mph & 50mpg with a powerchip fitted.

Go & try a test drive at your local dealer ... You might be very pleasantly surprised.

Nope,no connectins whatsoever to GM I actually DETEST Vauxhalls,BUT I have to say our car has been fantastic,I wanted to murder DH when he bought it,but now I won't let him sell it :rolleyes:

A nice four wheel drive Lamboghini Gallardo would probably suit you but I doubt you'd find one in that price range

fronteras reguarly bottom of reliability surveys , but vauxhall used one on a gruelling artic expedition in the 90s and it proved very reliable
