Wow! Just looked at 10 ways and what a confusing way of presenting information. Perhaps I'm just not up on face book but it actually seems easier to find info on this thread even with the waffle0

I have exhibited many of the traits shown by the teacher in the preview and my DS2 must be so confused! I guess we all have to start learning somewhere. Well my learning starts today. I've ordered the three in the series from Amazon, surprisingly not in Kindle format because I want everyone in the family to read them, and then his class mates.
It's not a savvy buy as such, but I really hope it's a life changing one.
The reading programme we are doing is to try and help with DS increasing problem with being 'inappropriate' that is being brutally honest and speaking his mind without being able to judge the situation first. Don't get me wrong it makes for some side splitting moments, but Ive done a fair bit of cringing as well.
The idea is for us both to read the book ( easy because he's an avid reader) then discuss what we think. That way I can see if he's getting the message in the book and steer him in the right direction if he's not. If your DS isn't a reader you can read with him.
All of the books are designed to promote self awareness and to try and promote an understanding of others feelings, emotions and opinions etc something he lacks. I find I also get alot from them. Let me know what you think after you've read0 -
So nice to see you tiger :wave:0

My store is doing this price promise bingo. Today we have to save £1.23. I cant get my head around buying things in the shop where they are actually cheapest
Prize table has boxes of wine gums on it. Does that mean these went to 1p :rotfl:
My store didn't have those ........my store had a selection of wine , gift cards , chocolates and some toiletries......I thought the prizes were ok ....not sure what the value of the gift card is.
Also in my store it says if you get a pp voucher with the winning amount not a saving one.0 -

DD is taking part in the UK Maths challenge today in school, fingers crossed for her. Some of the questions she brought home to practise were solid![/QUOTE]
Good luck to your daughter, fingers crossed for her. How are you feeling today, your cough any better??pattylabelle wrote: »Just send a youngster over to ss tills to scan one and tell them to run away once they have scanned it - that's what my little dd does:D:D

Morning all
Bit grey and damp here today but not too cold at the moment. Still hopeful to get a little bit of weeding done later
Was invited to another Bzz campaign yesterday - Tesco Free From. Did same campaign last year. Hoping the range has improved....AngelsMadv wrote: »Hello, Logie! Very trueIt was nice to see them and they brought cake
:D When I spoke to my Mum she knew they were planning a visit. Will have to get her to give me the advance warning so I can have my 10 minute whirlwind tidy up

Morning Frequent - I was thinking about you this morning.
Putting my shopping list together and noticed that Morgans Spiced (70cl) is only £14 in Ts compared to £16.50 A and £17.39 S.
I am sure you will know the best way to shop for that? :beer:0 -
Shortfatscotsbloke wrote: »I do enjoy the debate about what is and what is not acceptable on the Elite, it seems to raise its head every few threads.
I personally do not have an opinion either way about how much of an item anyone gets. Given the community spirit on the elite, I’m sure a lot of things are given to friends, relatives, food banks, homeless shelters etc. We should also remember that there has been a recession for quite some time now and some of the elite might choose or need to sell glitchy items to feed and clothe their families.
When it comes to last night’s debate about giving everyone everything on a plate or not, I have to admit I am ‘old school’ and remember when the Elite started after the days of DTD a couple of years ago. This was meant to be the chatty thread and I’m sure an equivalent bargain posting thread was created at the same time. The elite seems to have won the battle and the thread is still here with bells on and the other seems to have fallen by the wayside. I think, like most of us that the info is freely available to everyone quickly and easily and it is not too much to ask people to read back a few pages, after all, the rest of us have to (apart from perky of course!!):D
When I talk about sense of community, consider this. When any of us find anything glitch, anything cheap, or when we nick something from the dark side or 10Ways, where do we post it? Do we post it on Grabbit or do we always come here to our cyber buddies?
End of SFSB’s waffly post. (Better be careful, I’ll be getting compared to ShortFatSavvyBuyer if I keep this up):)
I think crossways posts from 10ways and the darkside or indeed things found on a thread within MoneySavingExpert are all perfectly acceptable as long as they are credited back to the person/site/thread they were found on:)
Also sometimes are found simultaneously and as such look like they were found elsewhere but were found independently."Sealed Pot challenge" member No. 138
