welcomeJust a question, my local Tosco has turned the scanners off around the shop so was thinking of using the handheld scanners to check prices.
But - do you guys actually pay for your shopping that way too, or do you just use it to check prices then go through the SS tills?
I dont want to get busted with any 1p / 4p finds

Check the plug under the scanner, switch it back onBack to square one, no apg, no comment.0 -
Good afternoon, well it will be when I've finished my post, I have skipped over last night...but will catch up when little one goes for a nap...I hope.
Hope you are feeling better today Logie, hope u enjoyed Robin Hood for a change. I must admit I succumbed to a few afternoons of repeat Balamory when I was pregnant with my DS, I had terrible sickness in the beginning, but my dd was really good and none the worse for it..
I've been into town this morning, Morries are still selling Huggies nappies, on offer 2 packs for £16!!!! :eek:Think I will give that one a miss,:rotfl: but might be worth while watching to see when they stop selling them and reduce existing stock.
Also noticed whilst walking through Wilkinsons that comfort enrituals is on offer 21 wash bottle for £1 instead of £2.50.
Also popped into boots for those weetabix biscuits which my DS promptly ate!! Don't think I'd pay 70p for them.
Hth. Have a lovely afternoon in the sunshine.:hello:0 -

Glad I did! Managed to get 10 of those lovely big sparkly silver boxes of chocolates, 12 'thank you' cadburys boxes, a box of Thorntons mint collection 316g, bc ending 215430 and two of the London bus tins filled with chocs and toffee!
Can't believe they're still re-stocking the shelves with all the 1p stock, I took the last 5 buses last week yet they'd put 2 more out yesterday - mad!
I also got some girls wellies, size 5 (so would fit adults) for 4p yesterday that I'd not seen on here. They're beige with pink and black leopard print pattern and a pink ribbon bow on the back. Original price is £11, reduced to £5 scanning at 4p. Barcode ending 014861.
The 112 bars of mothers day chocs I got last week have gone to a good cause. A friend of mine works at a local school were one of the pupils mums died of breast cancer over the easter break. They're using the chocolates to bake cakes and treats to sell for cancer research.
I'll try and suss out how to post a picture of all my goodies later once I've been to see ruxpin for a catch up and chocolate trade!
Is there any way on here I can see if someone replies to me without looking through the thread? I put a post on a couple of days ago and I'd hate to think I'd ignored anyone if they replied!
Happy shopping everyoneWell done :T
If that's your shopping when you're under the weather what happens when you are on top form? Must be like supermarket sweep :rotfl::rotfl:0 -

Since no-one has ever checked the prices of the items i've bought when using the self scanner, I use them. Although i've only found 2 1p items in my local.0 -
Afternoon, I have just been to boots and at the advantage machine I printed out a couple of vouchers for 200 extra points when buying two lynx Apollo products.. In store the shower gels were £1.25 so bought four fo £5.00 and got 400 back in points :T HTHOne cannot change the past, but one can ruin the present by worrying over the future.0
